Walmart will be sued. As they should be. Just proves the adage:

A person is smart. People are stupid.

Of course they will be sued. This is America.

How pathetic are people to trample over others to save a few bucks.

Indeed.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

As for the WalMart mob, I wonder if any of you have ever been in a big crowd and been pushed by the people behind you? I have. It's a very scary feeling.

Not condoning what happened because they say some of the crowd were pushing on the doors and were even trying to take them off the hinges. But I'm sure there were MANY people who were pushed.

Exactly. Once you start feeling you are being pushed, you either go with the momentum or risk being trampled to death yourself. This was ultimately the store's responsibility. They are responsible for the health and safety of customers and employees.

Bentonville, Ark.-based Walmart said it added staffers and outside security workers and put up barricades to try to prepare for the crush. But police spokesman Detective Lt. Michael Fleming said Friday that security was inadequate for a scene he called "utter chaos."

The moment I stepped into WalMart that morning to pick up that 46" TV fro 800 dollars for my bedroom, I felt like I was in hell with everyone's eyes glowing fiery red that could shoot flames out any minute.

The other thing about lawsuits is that much like theft, we all end up paying for them through higher prices. When someone frivolously sues the county, a retailer, a hospital or an insurance company etc it ends up costing us since the payout is passed on in the form of higher prices. So I wouldn't be too happy about such lawsuits.

Now if the victims family sued the losers who killed this person to save a buck. That is a different story all together.

So what? Walmart created the conditions that caused the death. It makes sense that they foot the bill to prevent future occurrences. The employee was subjected to an unsafe work condition, that's really all there is to it.

The people can't easily be prosecuted - its not exactly easy to see who was specifically responsible. All the store had to do was plan the event better.

Holy sh!t. I agree.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

i used to work close that mall. It is straight up ghetto over there. I feel sad that evil consumerism turns people into crazed lunatics just for shopping I feel really sorry for the dude that worked there.

Wow. It's insane. I just hope Obama can do something about these kinds of things when he's president.

Pants.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.
