How much was it and where did you get it?

349. PX, u know, no taxes :P

Great, and no tax to boot!

Wow. It's insane. I just hope Obama can do something about these kinds of things when he's president.

Pants.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

Wife and I spend Black Friday in Caracas, didn't buy anything, prices there are three times as much as here. Wasn't even worth selling our US bucks on the black market to take advantage. For them it was yearly bonus day, malls were packed as were the banks, traffic was insane. It's good to be back to a more peaceful life.

PX in the states wasn't worth a darn, even back in the VN days, except for cigarettes, could always find better deals in town. Now in Korea or Japan while on R&R was great, a Minolta SRT-101 SLR camera in the Korea was $112.00 and can be shipped home free, at Fort Sheridan or Great Lakes, was more like $248.00, camera shops in downtown Chicago were selling the same camera for $198.00, screw the GI was the phrase.

Looking at some old stuff still in like new condition from those days, a Sony TC-758 10" reel to reel auto reverse tape deck I use once in awhile, but can't recall the price I paid for it at the Korean PX, think it was around 300-400 bucks but was selling for $1,500 here at the time. A hand craved coocoo clock that I recall around ten bucks, still coo coo's, but don't run it everyday, will drive you coo coo.

Only did the Wal-Mart 5:00 am thing once, mostly Chinese #######, and still had a pile of the stuff left after Christmas at even further discounted prices.

We did bring Chirstmas gifts for my wife's son and his future bride, would have cost an extreme fortune down there. Told them my home is their home, but his bride to be wants to finish college first. Can say Chavez's socialism ain't working, seeing 300-400% inflation down there since last year or maybe he is spending the money buying junk military surplus from the Russians, ha, should of tried to sell him some of my junk. Man that guy is stupid, but cured me from watching TV every night, he must really love himself.
