Wal-Mart Worker Dies After Shoppers Knock Him Down

A worker was killed in the crush Friday after a throng of shoppers eager for post-Thanksgiving bargains burst through the doors at a suburban Wal-Mart, authorities said.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. in Bentonville, Ark., called the incident a "tragic situation" and said the employee came from a temporary agency and was doing maintenance work at the store.

"He was bum-rushed by 200 people," co-worker Jimmy Overby, 43, told the Daily News. "They took the doors off the hinges. He was trampled and killed in front of me. They took me down too. ... I literally had to fight people off my back."

Nassau County police said the 34-year-old worker was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at about 6 a.m. The man's name was not released and the cause of death was not immediately known.

I went to Lowe's this morning and got a storage cabinet for the garage for $68 off the regular price and a bird feeder for $10 off. Not many people there. In and out in no time. Went to Sam's Club...not bad there either. Got some food, went up to the cash register and out the door 10 minutes later. As for going to any other stores today or even this weekend...no way.

Terrible what happened to that worker at Walmart.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm Saving $250 and a chance of a ER run or staying home watching news about somebody trampled at walmart?

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

a notebook. and another 70 on a printer, but not walmart, i'm not that brave to go to walmart, it was the PX.

What did you save $250 on?

Sounds nice.. getting that kind of money off it had to be worth it!.. We didn't venture out into the madness but I did manage to pickup a decent 19" LCD monitor at this site for only $99 with free shipping!.. Couldn't resist at that price, time to finally get rid of this ugly 15" CRT :lol:
