Hello! I know this forum is for visa coming to US, but now Im in US planning vacation to Thailand. Im sure there is more people like me - green card holder wishing to visit Thailand and requiring visa prior travel. I found website - http://www.traveldocs.com/th/vr.htm#nonus - some comapny can apply for visa on my behalf...I checked Thai embassy website, Washington d.c. but havent found helpful information. Im sure the info is somewhere there, but it all seems complicated to me. Shall I trust to the company and send my passport? Any other ideas or experience?

I know the requirements and I know I need the visa, those are the facts.

Thanks u all for any helpful info.

Also any idea about best islands in the south of Thailand? Going only for 2 weeks, 2 days in the air, not many days left in Thailand. Well, I m not going yet, just planning it in my head for March 2009.

Thank u.

You can obtain a 30-day visitor visa in advance from the Thai Embassy in Washington or perhaps one of its consulates. The fee is $35. The application for it can be downloaded. NO NEED TO PAY someone to do it for you.

Of course, right now the international airport is closed due to political unrest....

Thank u both of u.

Yes, originaly I said 2 weeks, if it was up to me I would go for 3, coz I ll be off for 3, and I m kind of person that I want everything in order, if I can get visa in advance than I ll do it.

Old dominion, thank u for the info, thats what I was looking for but somehow I was unable to find it on their website

And the situation changed a bit last night.... husband told me he has heard that they might close the shop he manages by end of the year ...if this happens than we ll have to wait.

Thanks again for your help and I m sorry for confusion
