i hate black friday.... (I work retail) it makes me :girlwerewolf2xn:

I used to work for Macys closeout and sometimes they would make me work the register and these women would just spray and spray and spray the testers...I havent done any holiday shopping. I do EID so Ill do some stuff for my little girl ( I am raising her muslim) but I am alone just me and her and my son so I am not going to throw down for eid. My catholic aunt hates me and thats my christmas.. So I think I will just let the holidays start on the 13th EID and then enjoy them and just try to do some fun stuff. We are supposed to go to a special screening at UNIVERSAL STUDIOS of a mouse movie. My son has some stuff for school so I am sure it will be busy...

I am working in outside sales and I have a big client appt on the 29th of December that I was TRYING to avoid but it looks like I wont get to run away anywhere after x mas

*yawn* morning ladies! I'm soooo exhausted from my day of cooking and cleaning! Entertaining is hard work!!! Afterward I drove all the way to LA (in TRAFFIC at 10pm....figures) and danced all night!

Now I'm so pooped! :energy:

But *sigh* I GUESS I'll try to get the energy together to go shopping. :) I'm a little nervous though. If I see its way too crowded then we'll leave. I'm in no mood to get trampled for retail. That poor guy at Walmart!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving!

I couldnt eat anything really yesterday but today I am feeling more hungry. I am waiting for my little boy to get home after playing so we ( my daughter and him) can go out and eat somewhere. I think we will go to a chinese buffet. Not real traditional but it tastes good

Chinese buffet sounds good! That was my Grandma's tradition the day after when we lived in NY. I miss good Chinese food. Living here in AZ there is no such thing! Its horrible here! There idea of real Chinese is Panda Express. Blah!

I think some people would think its kind of tacky ..But I just love chinese on the holidays. My daughter was so funny today. She wanted to wear this red velvet christmas dress and said 'Ill be your friend,, Ill be your friend" if I let her wear it. I let her dress up like tinkerbell instead. I finally started doing laundry. I didnt have a turkey at my house so I got no left overs and I really want a turkey sandwich with mayonaise and white bread and black pepper and salt.. Id have to find someone with day old turkey to get that. My aunt served quiche with squash soup and all this high end gourmet stuff. I just wanted like regular turkey..I brought nuts. She said why. I said because I am one. She wasnt impressed

I have been totally lazy today. No way am I going out and facing the madness! I did eat turkey leftovers which is good. The whole dinner turned out great though it was just the 3 of us (me, my father and grandfather). We ate all the usual stuff like Turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing, sweet potatoes, corn and pies. I love traditional holiday meals. I'm so sorry you didn't get one Kat, I would send you some of my leftovers if I could!

Hey MENA, im wayyy too exhausted. Had to get up at 355am to get ready for work by 445am. BLACK Friday at Walmart. It was a draining and long day! Adam was shocked at his walmart. His first experience for black friday and he said it looked like fighting dogs in a pen attacking each other for tvs and stuff and a woman fainted on the ground. Im glad this day is over! We had one woman that we know of for sure that had a stolen credit card.

I got a food chopper for $4 and a bright green bissell vac for $28. And then some secret gifts for Adam for Christmas.

My neighbor met me at work when I finished and we bought some christmas decorations and lights for the outside of my balcony patio. She and her 8yr old son helped me decorate outside. Its blue lights EVERYWHERE! I will have to take a picture later on and show yall. Its tooooo cute! Adam hasnt seen it yet bcz hes still sleeping. Hes in for a surprise. I even put in a blue light bulb in the outside light.

Yah I remember the blue light "specials" from Kmart. We only have one Kmart around here and it almost seems like a dollar general. Probably been there one time in the past 2 yrs. Im not a fan.

I hope my electric bill doesnt go sky high bcz of the lights outside!!!

Hey all! We'll black friday was good for us. We didn't go out too early but we got awesome deals. My mom and I went to lunch at pf changs and it was excellent. Kelly, I went to Kohls and got a tonka set for my nephew for $20.

Tamara, I love the blue lights but never hang them because people would think we're celebrating Chanukkah - not that there's anything wrong with that. ;)

It's better than my friend who had a white tree and all red lights. We used to call it the nuclear tree. Actually, we called it the chernobyl tree, but I'm sure that's not very pc to say  (we were young and dumb :innocent: )
