I am currently waiting for my AOS, it is pending.

Unfortunately someone in my close family is sick, I want to go and see them,

but with my case pending I cannot leave the US.

Really wish I would have found VJ earlier, then I would have known to have sent I-131 together with my

485 package. Not to mention that I would have saved me A LOT of frustration in this visa process.

I checked the processing times, and it says for I-131 it is three months.....

Now I don't know what to do. Tried to call USCIS, which was no help.

Has anyone here been in the same situation and knows what to do?

Would be really thankful for all help.

Make an infopass appointment with the nearest USCIS local office or just walk in and request emergency advance parole. Bring some information about the emergent situation. You'll have to pay the separate $340 fee but you'll likely walk out with what you need.
