This topic sucks so bad. It is like if you very lucky guys were doing a little dance front of ALL the other petitioners who are into the average waiting time 4+months. I can't even find a piece in my heart to be happy for people who got approved in 2 weeks. That is just unfair. Sorry but this conversation sucks, be happy to be extremely lucky is a thing, putting your unfair NOA2 front of our faces is just fuc*ing annoying !

I'm with ya on that one !!

Common people! What's that arguing for? I mean, people got lucky so what?

We should rather use our anger to change things at USCIS and complain, because obviously that's what causes this unfairness. I mean I am not saying that all petitions should be approved in the exact order they came as I understand that different things need to bechecked with different people, but seeing people getting approved 2-3 months before myself who have send it in at the same date is far more than just unfair.

Hey there Ms. Negative poopy pants. Read the title of the thread! Does it not ask a simple question? Who are you to come on here and throw your negativity around at people? Do you think you're special? If you read slower, you will see these people responding to a simple question that gives others people, ones that are not negative like you are, HOPE. Give it a rest and smear your negativity elsewhere.

For all of you who received an early NOA2, I'm very happy for you and wish you even more quicker returns. You are all deserving of a quick NOA2 as am I and even Ms. Negative poopy pants (yes, that's right poopy pants - you're still deserving)

What goes around comes around....

Anyone else get an early return? :-)

wow... the question was asked and answered. I dont think anyone was rubbing anything in anyone's face and I do think that post in response was quite rude.

At the beginning of this year VSC was approving petitions in less than a months time whilst CSC was taking 6 months, still trying to catch up with the backlog from last year's fee increase. Sure, the disparity is quite unfair (I even wrote my reps about it even tho I filed with VSC) but how is it the fault of those who get approved fast???

The system isn't always fair... it needs an overhaul..sure. But that should take nothing away from those who are approved faster than others. We don't know their stories... we don't know what they've been through or how long they've waited to be together.

Let's try to be tolerant and understanding instead of bitter. We all suffer through this. I'm happy for anyone who finally gets to be in the arms of the one they love.

Oh and just FYI... i've known my new husband for 11 years and we were forced to be seperated for more than a year before he was able to come on the K-1 visa so i'm not just blowing smoke here.

What is wrong here?!?!?! I'm with Kim on this one.

Most people come here for support, help and comfort. So what if someone got approved quickly? It doesn't always mean they will get their visa any quicker. I personally love it when someone gets a speedy approval..it's one less lonely person here and that has to be a good thing.

There is really no gain in being negative, other than attracting bad feelings for yourself. We are all in the same situation - lets all get along and continue to help each other out.

Maybe a "what's the longest between NOA1 & NOA2" thread will help put things into perspective.

Life isn't fair sometimes, but it is what is is.

Peace.

A-frickin-MEN! There's no escaping the negativity of Ms. NPP anywhere on this site! :) We are still waiting NOA2 - but I really believe it's going to come fast since so many July filers are getting approved. This Thanksgiving weekend, I'm THANKFUL to USCIS and for all the hard work they do to bring us to the USA. Given the number of cases they process, I really don't find it suprising there are a few outliers who get approved quickly and others who go beyond 6 months. I think we all knew going into this that there would be some wait involved. THANK YOU USCIS!! I look forward to getting our NOA2!! Happy Thanksgiving weekend to all!!

Agree w/you and Kim. It seems to me, when people are getting approved, we know the people at USCIS are hard at work! I would be much more concerned if we went weeks on this site without hearing of people getting approved. So strange that the good folks who complain about no movement on the IGOR list are the same good folks who complain when people get approved. We want faster, not slower approvals, right? :) Staying positive here and hoping the good folks will come around to the happy side. :)

15 days for us in 2005.

:wow: ...(I think it took them about 2 months to cash my check! lol)

I hear ya.

The system has always been unfair.

When we processed there were four service centers operating. Vermont was the fastest at that time. Nebraska (now closed) was the slowest. Lots of people waited months.

My husband's greencard took 17 months. You hardly ever hear of that anymore.

The system just keeps evolving and changing.

FIFTEEN DAYS!! You gotta' be the VJ god! That's so incredible! But, I have to agree with the earlier poster who said...it's neither fair nor unfair, it just is. I don't think this is an unfair system what-so-ever. I think it's great. I don't want these visas handed out like candy (when I get mine, I want to know it has some value and that my fiance and I earned it). I think USCIS should take all the time they need to be sure people are not abusing the system, etc. You got approved in 15 days! BRAVO! That simply means others can get approved quickly too. And most of us, will get approved w/in the 6 months. An early approval gives rational thinking people hope, not jealousy or dispair. So, as much as I admire your quick approval and the fact that you still come here and post long after your marriage, I have a slightly different view than "the system has always been unfair". There's only one group of people that this system has to be fair to...the US citizens who pay most of the money it takes to finance the USCIS so that people like me can join my fiance....I am hoping to be there soon! :)

I was approved in what I suppose would be considered a relatively quick space of time - 50 days. But I can see why this topic would annoy you, when you're waiting and waiting, the last thing you need to hear is how other people managed to get so much luckier than you. Trust me when I tell you that I was spitting feathers when I was waiting and people were getting approved in 2-3 weeks.

The only thing I would say is that unless you have a lot of money to fall back on, use this time to save as much cash as you can, and to spend as much time with your friends and family as you can - because when that time gets cut short, you'll miss them.

When I moved to the US, I found that I went from spending every day missing one person - my fiance (now husband) to missing everyone else in my life - parents, brother, friends etc.

Take time too enjoy these people as you will miss them more than you could realise.

That said, I wish you all speedy NOA2's

Thank you :)

I appreciate that you understand what we can feel...

wow i guess some people get all the luck, im happy for those that get theirs quick, and i can apprieciate those like me that are still waiting for their NOA2's i love everyone's timelines even the ones that move quicker than mine, it gives me hope and inspiration to keep waiting patiently even though inside its killing me being away from my fiance, but at the same time im enjoying the time with my family, knowing that one day soon it will be them im missing with all my heart. no matter which way you look you will always miss someone when u live in one country and ur loved ones are in another. but as long as that bond is strong nothing will ever make them leave your heart.

You've certainly got a different perspective on things. :D While I can't say I agree with you, I admire your positive attitude.

I call it 'unfair' to point out that the 'unfairness' shifts itself around. Today's golden calf can be tomorrows black hole. Whenever the Service makes a change, it affects things. Management styles at Service Centers, Local and District Offices respond with differing rates to any change. Consulates handles matters with a wide swing of differences at the State Department level - that difference at least makes sense when one considers technological and societal norms in different countries. You have to admit, it is unfair for the Service Centers to offer two such completely different levels of service to it's USC customers. There's really not a whole lot of 'vetting' of the petition at the first stage of the process insofar as weeding out abusers. That happens at the consulates.

It is the only system we've got to bring our loved ones here. You pay your money and you take your chances. I do think it takes a certain level of immaturity to ####### all over people who happen to have drawn a shorter straw. But I also think it takes a certain level of immaturity to not have sympathy for those who aren't so lucky. I stayed around VJ to help out because I was grateful for my good fortune. All it got me (at the end of the day) was a lot of grief from people who couldn't get past my timeline. Which (by the way) was not unusual at all four years ago.
