Hello. This is my first post here. I have a question regarding my filing of the I-129F and if I should be worried or not. I sent my packet to the Vermont Center. It was received on May 22. It is now 2 weeks later and I still have not received an NOA1 and the check has still not been cashed. The timelines I've looked at shows most people receiving an NOA1 in about 8 days and checks being cashed within 4 days. I know that 2 weeks isn't a long time, but I've had a string of bad luck lately and I'm wondering if this could be more.

05/20/2006 - sent I-129F to Vermont

05/22/2006 - I-129F received at Vermont

05/31/2006-NOA1 sent to me

06/03/2006-touched

06/05/2006-NOA1 received by me

06/16/2006 IMBRA RFE sent to me

06/22/2006 IMBRA RFE received by me

06/24/2006 IMBRA RFE sent to Vermont

06/26/2006 IMBRA RFE received at Vermont

06/28/2006 touched

07/07/2006 approved by Vermont!

10/05/2006 Interview at Embassy

10/13/2006 Visa received

10/27/2006 Lily arrives in USA!!!

12/08/2006 Married!

The timelines you're looking at are probably before IMBRA came into effect...

It seems as everything in Vermont is on hold due to IMBRA so it could take a tad bit longer...Be patient and try not to worry to much, Best wishes!

Like others have said, things are very slow now due to IMBRA. I wouldn't be concerned since it actually is normal for it to take about 2 weeks for the receipt to arrive.

Waiver approved after 10 months. Did NOT use a lawyer
