I've been coughing up my lungs for the past week...after effects of a flu assault. Not happy about that :(

No flu shot this year? I did not get one, and now wonder what is in store.......Then again, I usually get an annual cold/cough.....Usually lasts a few days..

I never get them; I rarely get the flu, and I can't remember the last cold I had. The main part of this one was last Friday; had a fever at work, felt like someone was playing with the thermostat, raising it and lowering it, body aches, plummeting energy level. Went home early. The fever was gone by Saturday, but just as I thought I was out of the woods, a nasty, persistant cough developed.

Sounds like the full blown flu....Glad to hear you are on the better side of it. All the best for a fast recovery.

Thanks William. Me too.

Probably go back to the doctor this week and start another round of antibiotics. Which is ridiculous because that's what caused the problem in the first place. I'm on a diet of sauerkraut and natural yogurt. vomit.

I've been unhappy for the past few days. Before that I had a nice happy streak going.

Reasons:

Finals coming up

4 class presentations next week

Stress

Away from SO

Had an order to buy Citigroup at $3.50 last Friday but canceled it after I was convinced by some idiot on a forum not to buy. Citigroup closed at $8.29 yesterday (I only would have been up 10 grand) :bonk: and I reckon it will close near $14 by the end of this week.

India, gun buyback and steamroll.

You let some idiot on a forum decide a trade for you? Who's the idiot, again?

Wow. It's insane. I just hope Obama can do something about these kinds of things when he's president.

Did I say some idiot decided a trade for me or did I say I was convinced not to buy by an idiot on a forum?

I decided my own trade, I hit the cancel button, it was a risky play that I was unwilling to take.

Again, I am new to trading stocks, I love it, on average I stare at my customized portfolio 3 hours out of the 6.5 hours that the market is open. I also spend about a half hour at least during the pre-market and another half hour in the after hours. I stare deeply into the eyes of my computer screen, passionately watching my ticker symbols in real time, trying to catch every % and $ and cent change in the making. I probably visit the site of yahoo finance and google finance on 50 separate occasions each throughout the day. In fact, I have visited these sites so frequently that I even realized that if I type yahoo.com/FIANCE instead of FINANCE it will still take me to where I want to go. If you do that with google you will get a "page not found" message. Being that I am new to the lovely world of trading stocks and that my knowledge is limited, I tend to listen to what other peoples inputs are. Buying Citi was a risky play, unfortunately, I took the advice of a guy who happened to be wrong in his prediction. He was probably not an idiot but looking back and seeing how much money I woulda/coulda/shoulda made, I decided to use my first amendment rights and call him a bad name. In the end, it was my decision to cancel my trade, not his. In other words, it was my decision, I decided my own trade.

Now if you'll excuse me, the new season of Lockup begins tonight at 10pm eastern on MSNBC.

Are you unhappy? I don't mean silly ####### like your husband doesn't buy you flowers anymore or your wife doesn't seem to love the taste of your eric anymore... but more serious problems. Health issues, severe financial problems, chronic under or unemployment, serious family conflicts, etc.

Are you truly unhappy?

My mom told me early on that she thought I would/could never be happy.

She may be right.
