don't encourage me :P ...lol

I haven't bought any gifts for my family except my little nephew that is coming here for Christmas.. sometime next year I plan on shipping them a big box of stuff to encompass Birthdays and Christmas...

as for David's family, we only bought stuff for our nieces and nephews.. I really didn't feel like picking stuff out for all the adults :P

I did get Kelsie's blanket finished. Kept me warm for a nap the other day so I'm sure she'll be warm when she uses it too.

I got a little gift from the people I am a nanny for... they gave me a Jamba Juice gift card, a pomegranate body wash set and this cute homemade looking ornament in the shape of a Christmas tree and it has a picture of the two boys in it :)

and as for the slide show thing.. I have it almost done.. just need to pick the right music for it and fix a few pictures..

tomorrow I plan to make Christmas goodies all day... :)

Looks very pretty. I like that a lot.

A student came into my office today to give me a box of chocolates but it is against state rules to accept gifts. In New Jersey we have had a lot of problems with bribes and such so it is now against the law to accept gifts from either customers or vendors you do business with. I helped this girl and her mother out quite a bit this semester and so she was really bummed and confused I couldn't accept her gift. She looked a little insulted but I tried to assure her to thank her mother and tell her I;d be happy to help her in the future.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard
