Looks like for a family of 2, the min income level is $14000 (higher in Hawaii ($16,100 and Alaska, $17,500). Believe your income needs to be 125% of the poverty income level. So, I would get a co-sponsor if I were you . Good luck.

Assuming you will have a 2 person household, it looks like you will need $17,600 in income. That leaves you $3,200 short. You can make up for this by having money in the bank. You need 3 dollars in the bank for every dollar that you are short in income. So, that would mean that you need $9,600 in the bank. You should be fine.

What Craig mentions here are the minimum requirements. Even though you meet the minimum requirements, the CO at the interview can reach the conclusion that he is not confident you will be able to support your spouse and will require a co-sponsor. This is more common in developing and high fraud countries like India. If the CO decides you need a cosponsor, it can delay you by months between collecting the documents, filing them, and having them reviewed. I recommend you get a co-sponsor to be safe. You may be ok without one, but you are running a big risk.
