Hello folks,

I'm still fairly new to the forums here, but I am planning on sending in the I-129F in a few months. The only real thing thats holding me back is this:

I currently live in Salt Lake City Utah, but I am planning on moving back to my homestate of Phoenix, Arizona sometime in March. If I remember correctly, I have to call or fill out a change of residence form when I do this correct? Not only that, but my fiance will be changing her address in the middle of all this too. She currently lives in Nova Scotia and she will be moving back to her hometown in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Does she have to submit the same type of form or because shes not the one who initiated it, does she have to do it or do I have to do it? I need some clarification please on how to handle this when the time comes. Thank you :)

The USC is required to keep a current address on file with the USCIS only after an I-864 has been submitted (much further down the immigration path). If you have a current petition pending, it is much better to use a "permanent" or "stable" address (parent, relative, friend) rather than moving mid-process and hoping your attempt at an address change is properly recorded. Same would hold true to your fiancee if that is an available option.

YMMV

I (the non-USC) moved in the middle of the K-1 process. Once we knew the I-129f petition had been approved, and was on its way through NVC to Montreal, my husband (the USC) sent an email to Montreal stating that I had moved and here's the new address. he made sure that they had my full name, the A#, my Montreal case number (which he got from NVC), my old address, and new address. My "Packet 3" came to me at the new address with no problems.
