What does the fiance receive after the NOA2?

i know that some documents are sent to the fiance

but i'd like to know what is specifically sent, and if this can be picked up at the embassy. im worried about this information getting to my fiance in Costa Rica because CR doesnt have addresses, and things can easily get lost in the mail. (for example, an address over there might be 2 blocks east of the mcdonalds, etc.)

also, for the income information i need to provide, would it be sufficient to give them just my 1040 tax info? or do i need to get a letter from my HR?

if its absolutely necessary to get a letter from HR, would one of you guys be able to help me put together an e-mail asking for this info? im not really sure how to ask.

thanks for your time

NAMASTE

Read the guides to find out exactly what you need to send your fiance.

You need to check with others from Costa Rica to find out whether there is a packet 3/information packet sent out from the Embassy. Each one is very different in how they handle the process and what they request from the petitioner. check your portals link, embassy info, embassy reviews... The best thing you can do is contact the Embassy directly and ask.

Normally you will need to include at least one year's tax return, pay stubs as well as an employer letter stating that you have a job, what you make, and that that job is going to last. I believe there are plenty of examples here if you do a search.

good luck.

I don't believe there's no adresses in Costa Rica maybe it is that people aren't used to using them, are you plannig to be there for the interview?, you know that is highly recommended, if so, then bring the docs with you so they don't get lost.

1.Here is what you need attached and notarized with the !-134.

http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-134.pdf

2.Copy of entire I129F you made when you sent the petition

3. All originas of proof you submitted with the I129F (Pics, letters, Tickets, etc)

4. Updated letter affirming ypur desire to marry.

5. Copy of the NOA2 you got in mail.

6. More proof of relationship.

Don't e-mail your HR give them a call, I'm sure they don't bite and can help you getting a letter of employment.

Right Tbone ;)

As I suggested... visit the Embassy Reviews which explains how it's done...

As little as 7 days, they call the beneficiary to pick-up packet 3. They don't like using the CR postal system. There's nothing to send back with packet 3. You bring all the forms and documents with you to the interview.

I read nothing about it being highly recommended that the USC fiance attends the interview.

While it is suggested at some Embassy's to have the USC there for the interview, the same rules do not apply to all. I would hate to see others worry needlessly about not being able to attend the interview. $2500 flight and 20+ hours of air time.... I certainly didn't attend.

Each Consulate/embassy website should be reviewed for local procedures.... Many questions can be pre-emptively answered

From the Embassy website:

Once the petition arrives here in San Jose, we will contact you. You or your fiancée will be required to pick up a packet of instructions with a list of all the necessary documents required for this process. Among other things, your fiancée will need to undergo a medical exam by a doctor we specify.

http://sanjose.usembassy.gov/iv_onbehalf.html

Probably because there is a lack of addresses to utilize a mail service

I'm ecuadorian and people don't use adresses neither in a lot of places but they exist, that's why I'm asking, I 'm not in the mood for fighting like you!. I'm just trying to help. Why do you answer for him? Let's wait to see what he has to say.

In the mean time I'll go do something productive.

The lovely & gracious Kim wrote, in part:

True, yet Latin American embassies are beginning to impose the unspoken requirement (or are already in the brazen throes of it) that the U.S. fiance/e be around (at least on the consular premises) during the partner's interview. This information comes from personal experience, insights from immigration attorneys, and correspondence with K-1/K-3/CR-1 applicants who are not on VJ. Your attendance "on the premises" cannot hurt and could prove crucial to issuance of the visa upon just one interview, or without additional paperwork or evidence being required. I can't speak specifically to the embassy in Costa Rica, but the general advice remains very prudent as regards Latin American embassies.

The original poster stated the facts already, and very clearly so. Your response was, "I don't believe there's no adresses in Costa Rica." Words mean things. Were you calling the original poster a liar on the basis of your having visited Costa Rica, and knowing specific information that contradicts what the original poster wrote? Inquiring minds want to know.
In the mean time I'll go do something productive. Bye
