:dance:Gefeliciteerd!!

CONGRATS on you GC!!!!

We FINALLY got our AOS stuff in the mail yesterday. God..I hope we didn't forget ANYTHING! LOL. AND....we GOT THE LOAN for our ranch in Texas!!!! WOOT. It is awesome! Just about 7 acres of beautiful flat land and a nice 2 story house! We have a bit of work ahead of us, not including the move from Cali...but we have to build horse stalls, an arena and a garage! Then of course...gardens and a pond (ok...getting WAYYYYY ahead of myself...lol). But I just gave my 2 week notice at work...and then we will be heading out to the Lone Star State to start the next chapter in our lives!

Congrats, so you are going to have horses?

We hope to see my cousin sometime who lives in Texas also, I may have to stop by with Jack.

He grew up on a horsefarm.

I already have 2 horses, a pygmy goat, dogs, cats and an asian water dragon. We already live on some property with my ex husband. LOL...but now that he's bought me out of it...we are on to our own slice of heaven.

My wife wants to.

But just recently they took all the rosetta stone out of the library, so we'd have to buy it.

And we don't really have the money for that since I don't have a job yet, and hers doesn't pay well at all.

I have the Rosetta Stone for dutch. It IS helpful, but I am finding I am learning MUCH faster with my husband just teaching me phrases that I commonly use...ie, I am thirsty, I am hungry, I am going to bed, how are you, thank you, your welcome...stuff like that. He will teach me a phrase and I will try to say it only in dutch until I remember it well, then we move on to the next phrase. He will answer me in dutch too...for example, if I say, Ik heb dorst (I am thirsty), he will say, Was wil je drinkken? (What do you want to drink). Please excuse any bad spelling...so far, I am only learning phrases, not really spelling...YET. LOL.

I know Jack isn't really trying, he keeps making fun of it.

While I won't say my husband makes fun of my dutch...but he certainly gets a good laugh listening to me try to pronounce some of the words or vowels! I mean...there are sounds in dutch my mouth hasn't figured out how to say yet! LOL!

I know some Dutch already from the Rosetta stone stuff, and I've been around Johnny and his family for three years so I've picked up a lot when it comes to understanding the language. Now as far as speaking it goes? I don't know #######. Haha

Johnny doesn't really seem interested in teaching me as he doesn't even really care for Dutch, and I've not bugged him about learning it because his entire family speaks English really well so it's not as if I need it to communicate with any of them. Eventually though I want to learn because it would be good for our children to know it someday, and I don't want them knowing it and me not!

I've tried learning some dutch but my New York/Long Island accent does not help at all!!!!! I can't do the G's and the R's. If a word has no Gs or Rs I'm good.

I even have trouble saying my future last name!!!!!!!!! I'm just going to have to Americanize it....

My husband knows some Dutch words here and there. He understands a lot and uses words sometimes. We have a son that is almost 14 months old and I speak Dutch to him. Speaking of 14 month old son.. I just found out I am pregnant again!!! EDD is 23 December. On our trip to Disney Orland last week I did a test and "passed" LOL

We are so excited! The only sad part is that my hubby has to leave on May 3rd for 6 months in the Middle-East...

He'll be back just in time before the baby arrives though :)
