Hi!

I think for us, we just sent in a letter from my employer stating what my title is, how much I make and how long I have worked there. Then I filled in all the questions about my assets and so on. I didn't really include much more documentation than that. The more detailed documentation is required for your AOS though.

Yeah, but you didn't submit the I-134 with packet 3, did you? I was planning on having all that stuff for the interview. On the consulate page on here it says that for packet 3, you need DS 156, DS 156K and DS 230. (I'm pretty sure those are the numbers...) It doesn't say anything about the I-134 but it wants evidence of financial support with the 156. I just wanna be safe :D

We did pretty much the same as Blu....I got a letter from my employer and then filled in the form....I think if you do just that you should be fine.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!! We went to a local festival this last Saturday and it was sooooo cool...my daughter got to hand feed a bald eagle!!! She was so excited and had a huge grin on her face the rest of the day...lol!!!

Hugs, Liz

Still nothing from USCIS, they are running out of time! This is their last week and then we call them to see what is up. Maybe when I get home, we'll have a Green Card waiting for Johnny in the mail. Fingers crossed?

Honestly, don't remember exactly what forms we did, but I can tell you it was just what they asked for. If you send in forms that are not required now, they will just get filed and you will have to send them in again when they need them. For the interview, we hardly took in anything. The agent already had our file with all the paperwork in front of him. Just do what is required and be thorough in what you do send. You should be fine.

Good morning also from Pennsylvania.

Liz, no word on Pat's green card yet?

Morning Peet!

No, nothing at all. Our case hasn't been touched that we can see since 3/12 & 3/18.... :crying:

I'm starting to think that being transferred to CSC for "faster" processing is just a myth!

Liz, it might not be faster, but in general there is no interview

And in my opinion, that is a good thing and it makes it faster than if you have to go through the interview….

Maybe you will hear something soon Liz.

Johnny and I checked our status this morning and it still said initial review... he called and they told him that there wasn't a 'time line' for family cases or something... and then, I checked our status again around 6pm and they had updated it! Apparently as of the 26th of March, his green card has been out for departure and should be here within 30 days of that date!

Oh and Johnny got his work authorization card about two weeks ago so we were FINALLY able to get him a social security number.

I hope so, Lindsey! This is getting so frustrating!

At least you haven't been waiting as long as Johnny and I yet.. His biometrics was the 16th of February, we had been waiting 8 weeks and they were still saying it was up for initial review. It seems to be a fickle process, it definitely doesn't mean you'll get it faster through CSC; I do believe it means no interview though so that's a plus. Hopefully Pat will have his soon enough!

Well if what it says on their website is correct, then yes it should be here within the next week or so. Apparently they have like 30 days to issue the green card after the issue date. [March 26th was when they said they would issue it even though we just found out about it yesterday] Needless to say, we are both really happy. I think they heard me complaining all the way from California and that's why they decided to change what it said on the website. :D [i was very upset yesterday after he got off the phone with USCIS that morning]

It amazes me how little the people know when you call USCIS, they thought we were still up for initial review as well. That just further proves to me that they probably just type your case number into the 'check my case status' box on the USCIS website.

CONGRATS on you GC!!!!

We FINALLY got our AOS stuff in the mail yesterday. God..I hope we didn't forget ANYTHING! LOL. AND....we GOT THE LOAN for our ranch in Texas!!!! WOOT. It is awesome! Just about 7 acres of beautiful flat land and a nice 2 story house! We have a bit of work ahead of us, not including the move from Cali...but we have to build horse stalls, an arena and a garage! Then of course...gardens and a pond (ok...getting WAYYYYY ahead of myself...lol). But I just gave my 2 week notice at work...and then we will be heading out to the Lone Star State to start the next chapter in our lives!
