Ok, I was just wondering...with them transferring cases to CSC I wasn't sure if it was because there was "evidence" included or not. Thanks Peet!!!

Ah, I get it.

No, we didn't put in extra evidence and were transferred.

Did you file already?

Sooooooo...he's on his way back to their office to redo it. They darn well better expedite the &@!$ thing!

Lab results?

He doesn't need labresults, he had all his vacc done in NL didn't he?

And you file within a year since the physical in the Netherlands?

All that should have been done was the surgeon check the vaccinations and get hte stuff signed.

After reading it 3-4 times, the surgeon we had agreed.

All we needed was another shot for Dennis, that was done and we had to wait for 30 minutes and we got our paperwork in a sealed envelope.

Anyone else ok, we are having our second snowstorm now, this one worse than the one from saturday.

Interstates closed and total white outs

It is crazy here.

But I am glad Dennis and Jack are home safe and we still have power.

There wasn't a single surgeon here in San Antonio that would do JUST the transcription....and with USCIS not being more strict, the CS's can determine what they require in order to get them to do the paperwork. This particular one required a TB test and blood work.....and he won't sign the papers until the blood work is done. It's totally aggrivating and I'm so ready to have it all done!

I was just reading the news about your area and wondering how you were doing! I'm glad Dennis and Jack are home same as well....you couldn't pay me to live up north, I'd never make it in that kind of weather...i'm too much of a wimp...lol! You just relax and stay safe!!!

Umm.. We never went to our civil surgeon because if you are a K-1, K-2, K-3 or K-4 visa holder the I-693 instructions state that you are not required to have another medical examination as long as your Form I-485 is filed within one year of your overseas medical examination. The I-485 is the form the doctor gave you with all of your vaccinations on it, the vaccination checklist.

Of course, if you were like Peet and her son needed another shot, the visit to the civil surgeon is required because he did not have all of his shots up to date.

I know your not required to do another medical as long as it's been less than a year since your overseas exam but we decided to go ahead and go because a TON of people who filed their AOS between Nov-Jan got RFE's because they didn't file the I-693 and had only sent the Vaccination form from the overseas medical. To me it was worth the money to go to the civil surgeon and have this done so that we don't have to worry about an RFE.

Great Liz!

We are ok here, kept our power which makes it a lot easier.

My son has his second snowday <_< so they will have to make up for that.

Yesterday I got another email from USCIS that our cases are now being processed.

Guess that means they are finally looking at them, hope they find everything ok and we will hear soon that our cards are ordered.

When do they have to the make-up days? End of the year?

Cool! I hope that is exactly what it means!

Btw...in order to get the email noticiations, did you send in a G-1145 form when you filed?

One day they can make up tomorrow, they would have had the day off.

Not too bad though, they have a two hour delay already and the rest at the end of the year I guess.

You can ask for email notifications over here and look for updates once you have your number.

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do

You can find the signing in for e-mail updates somewhere half way the page.

Johnny and I also noted that people had been getting quite a few RFE's due to the whole I-693 thing, but it states on USCIS that as a K1 filer you do not need to fill it out. That being said, we added that little section; highlighted, and are hoping they don't give us an RFE when it clearly isn't needed for us to go to the civil surgeon.

Apparently it doesn't really matter what you do though or how careful you are; I mean Johnny and I got an RFE for something as stupid as not putting in the birth certificate for the co-sponsor when it NEVER mentioned us having to do so in the instructions.

Yeah...it's so crazy how they do these things....I'm just glad to be at this step now and almost to the end of dealing with USCIS for a couple of years!

Peet - Hopefully they won't have anymore days to make up..... The weather this year is just nuts!

I see you filed Liz

Here is hoping for a fast and carefree process.

Your hope to be free from USCIS is a bit optimistic, the moment you have your green card you will have to keep an eye on the date, since you have to start again with USCIS 1 year and 9 months later <_<

Well, we'll have it filed today......Pat has to go back to the medical clinic to pick up something they forgot...grrrr! Then he's headed straight for the post office and sending it off!

LOL...I know...but at least that's 1 year and 9 months of not thinking of the USCIS.....:lol:
