Lucky you! I do have to go to Houston .... 2 hour drive; ugh! I'm gonna try to do a walk-in so hopefully it's not for nothing and have to make the same drive again.

Is there anyway you can call the office in Houston and ask if you can do a walk-in?

Lindsey - That's great! Is Orlando very far for you guys?

Hugs, Liz

If things were that simple with the USCIS, it would make all our lifes a lot more easy. No, they won't tell you if they do walk-ins, but there have been 2 people on this forum who recently did it in the same office and they were fine and never were asked why they came early and not at their appointed date.

May 18, 2007 ... Married in the Netherlands

May 16, 2008 ... Entered USA

February 13, 2010 ... mailed I-751

February 16, 2010 ... 3.43 pm I-751 delivered

February 18, 2010 ... check cashed[/color]

February 24, 2010 ... received NOA dated 02/17/2010

March 4, 2010 ... received Bio letter

March 15, 2010 ... bio appointment

March 16, 2010 ... touch

May 12, 2010 ... card production ordered

June 1, 2010 ... card production ordered text message (again)

June 7, 2010 ... received green card

February 15, 2011 ... mailed N400

February 17, 2011 ... N400 delivered

Our appointment is in York, not too far away, 45 mins. at the most I think.

They don't do walk ins, but my appointment is at 9, my sons at 10, so I hope they are willing to do us both at 9, can't be that hard?

From what I understand the office is at the jail. Our neighbor had to go there several times for his green card and according to him we better be prepared for some chagrined faces and people that don't show up <_<

We'll see, fingerprints can't be that hard?

Would the interview be in the same place?

Johnny and I received a request for initial evidence in the mail today.... Apparently a US social, and a US tax return were not enough supporting evidence to show that our co-sponsor and myself are indeed American citizens.... I really hate USCIS sometimes. Anyway, we have to send them copies of our birth certificates tomorrow since that is the only thing out of the list of ten different items that we could possibly give them; as the rest pertain more to those living and working in the US while not being American citizens or to those who have recently became US citizens.

Lindsey, sorry to hear that. But it should be an easy fix?

We are just back from our biometrics, which was painless and probably the most pleasant experience up to now.

Very old building next to the prison.

We got helped right away, we were 20 minutes early for my appointment, 1 hour and 20 minutes for my sons.

But they took us in right away.

So, no I guess the waiting game continues.

And than suddenly things go fast?

Sure hope this is good news, but I got an e-mail this afternoon that our cases are transferred to California.

From what I understand it usually is :)

Lindsey - Hopefully things will move quickly once you send back your response to the RFE...strange thought that they don't count a SSN as enough proof!

Peet - I think it's good news too....everyone I've seen who's cases went to CSC got approved with no interview!!! Good Luck and let us know how it's going!!!!\

Sorry I've not been around much.....had to take Jessie to the dr on Tuesday and went to my Uncle's funeral yesterday....I'm pooped!

No worries, Peet.....this gives me the info I needed!

Did you send any kind of "evidence" like pictures, bills, bank statements?

No, we didn't, as I understand it, that's for the interview.

Ok, I was just wondering...with them transferring cases to CSC I wasn't sure if it was because there was "evidence" included or not. Thanks Peet!!!
