We're back, was pretty painless.

Intelligent lady that helped us and after Jack had explained the thing to her in his phone call, she did her own research and decided we were right.

She made sure at least 4 copies are in the closed envelope and had everything filled out the way it should.

She did however told us that Dennis needed a flu shot also besides the hep B.

According to her it was 14 to 18 year old kids.

I can't imagine why, but we went ahead and got it done, won't hurt him I guess.

So now we have everything I think.

I will fill out all the paperwork again, since I dated it a few weeks ago, better have it all done close together.

Hope we are done for a while than.

Thanks for the compliments on my dogs, they are all rescues , mine from Spain, Jacks from the US.

Really glad they are all getting along.

ok, need to rant a little.

How hard is it to get a few passport pictures?

First off all I was told we could only have it done at the post office and after making an appointment.

When I figured out there were other places, and we went there, we end up with a piece of ####### that we have to cut our selves.

Off course I screwed that up but we don't have any choice, we ned to get the paperwork in, for as far as I know, we are official illegal now, since we didn't get it done in time as it is.

But, I seem to be the only one bothered by it.

Still haven't a SC number either, should have been done a long time ago.

The fun of not having a drivers license... always have to depend on others.

Oh wow....sounds like you didn't get good information... :angry: There are several places that do passport pics....I'm glad you were able to find one even though they didn't turn out very well!

You can't drive on your Dutch license there? Or do you not have one of those? Pat is using his dutch license because here in Texas he can't get a DL until he has a visa/greencard that is good for more than 6 months... :angry::angry: Its the most idiotic thing i've ever heard but nothing we can do about it.... :wacko:

We need to get our paperwork in as well...and soon...Pat will be "illegal" before too long as well....why does all of this have to be so complicated??? :wacko:

I hope things go smoother for you, Peet...hang in there!!

For $7.99 you can get two good passport pictures done at Walgreens or CVS. They cut them out and have them completely passport ready.

Johnny already has a temporary US license that is good until the 22nd of February when he will be considered an illegal and we were already able to get him in state school tuition because he's married to me. We are already working on our AOS and have most completed. We haven't gotten him a social security number yet, but that is because we are having a few issues with the social security office. They had to send off the paperwork to homeland security today because they flagged his file and they aren't sure why so they are hoping to have it cleared through them directly. We've hit very few hiccups and are hoping we can get our AOS out of the way very soon.

My stupid bank is giving us more problems than other places. They STILL have not put Johnny onto my account because he isn't a citizen and because of this they have to send it off to their main headquarters. It's rather annoying and is making Johnny want to switch banks, I'm willing to give them a little more time but we'll see in the long run.

I'm a little leery about the whole surgeon general thing though, from what I've read from the both of you and what Johnny has researched; it would appear that all the doctors here in Florida want to charge for a full medical exam as well. The government is already taking so much of our money, I'm not sure if we are willing to let some doctor charge us anywhere between $20-50 for something that doesn't need to be done. =/

Happy New Year!!!!

Love is patient and kind;

it is not jealous or conceited or proud;

love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable;

love does not keep a record of wrongs;

love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth.

Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail.

Love is eternal.

Happy newyear every one.

Hope you all got a good start into 2010 :P

We are doing fine here.

The paperwork got sent out,so there isn't much we can do anymore.

My son's arms are still a bit painful because of the shots. But he doesn't really complain about stuff like that.

We woke up to a nice amount of snow yesterday morning, got some icerain last night but didn't have to go out. :P

LOL, think I haven't see this much snow since a long time. Next thursday seems to be bringing more.

We are planning to get our bank stuff arranged this week.

And hopefully my SC#

I was afraid we might run into the same stuff as you did Lindsey, but they told us it shouldn't be a problem.

We'll see.

What we did about the surgeon was show them the papers that say we didn't need the physical.

Finally we found one willing to do her own research. That saved us a lot of money and we have it taken care of as it should.

At least we have one thing less to worry about now.

Just thinking, any one of you guys on Facebook?

I'd love to add some friends from over here to try to keep up with you.

*raises hand* oOOOhhhh...Me!

Although it's tricky to add me...lol! I have my profile set so that it doesn't show up on searches...so the best way to find me is to send me your email address that you have linked with your Facebook. Make sense?? :blink::luv:

Johnny and I both have facebook accounts, but neither of us use them very often.

I'm delighted to say that we have completed and sent in our Adjustment of Status! We placed it in the mail just yesterday so now all we have to do is wait for them to send us confirmation that they received it! =] Oh and hopefully soon I can get Johnny to place our wedding pictures on his picasa web account so you all can see them.

We are still waiting for the confirmation they got it.

Seems to take them a while. Looking forward to see the pictures. We didn't have official pictures taken, so it is just a few snapshots.
