So I'm really upset.....

Johnny sent in our packet three exactly a month ago today and we still have not gotten our fourth packet. Is this normal? Why haven't we gotten anything yet? This is all very upsetting.... We should have had it by now.

Yeah, something's definitely not right....

Denise sent her packet 3 9/10 and got packet 4 9/17. We sent ours 9/15 and as of yet (exactly a month later) haven't heard a thing yet??

I'm calling their crappy immigrant visa department up again tomorrow I guess... see if I can get someone to tell me what's going on

Just spoke to someone at the consulate. Apparently they are still waiting on my police reports, so at least they received my packet 3, which is also what I was worried about. Since I have lived in the United States for 7 years they'd also need to get my police report from over there as well as my Dutch one, which could explain why it has taken longer than Denise so far. Sigh, lets just hope they will get it in soon! :unsure:

The woman on the phone told me not to worry, that they'd probably have it any day now, and that they'd get me an appointment date as soon as that's in. I'm hoping it is indeed soon.

Congratulations to everybody who recieved their visa's recently. All the best for your furutre.

I have a couple of questions

1. What happens exactly in NL during medical examinaiton? Do they take blood and urine samples? Just curious.

2. I have read at different places about DS-230 Part II document. The Consulate as not asked me for this one nor did i recieve a copy of the document from them. May i know if you guys submitted this document?

Hi innl,

What happens at the medical exam is not all that exciting or anything to worry about. They look at your vaccination record and will give you the shorts they think you still need. They weight you, and measure your lenght. They measure your bloodpressure and go over a checklist from the embassy with questions like "have you ever been treated for mental disorder". Like I said, nothing to worry about and in my opinion not even a medical exam. Even if something comes up it is not a problem. I have as long as I remember a sky high bloodpressure (runs in the family). The physician measured it three times to come to the conclusion that it still was high (I guess he thought I was nervous and it would go down or something). He only advised me to go to my family physician and keep an eye on it. He might have noted it on the embassy papers but I never heard anything back from it.

Hopefully someone else will answer your other question, can't remeber that since it's already 1,5 years ago.

Nope, you don't have to submitt. Only submit what's on your list you got from the Consulate.
