I picked up my visa at the post office today (wasn't home yesterday when it came in) and everything is settled now for me to go to the US August 8th!!! YAY!!

Ah...I ALWAYS seem to spell Franeker wrong! It is a wonderful place though. Love how green everything is. And thank you for the info on the interview. I wonder if they will let me go in with him to the interview. Ah well, if not, I will be there for moral support, and of course quizzing him all the way to Amsterdam. lol.

We are also Dutch/American couple (American half is originally Ukrainian though). We just got our NOA2 on July 23 (yay!!!), and still waiting for NVC to receive our case.

One question: we need to bring the affidavit of support with supporting docs to the interview, not send it with packet 3, right?

Jack arrived the same morning I had my interview, he came with me, carrying his suitcase and a laptop.

The last one lead to some delays, but he came in later. LOL, he did most of the talking during the interview.

Just make sure you don't bring electronic devices and you can go in together.

Thanks! That's good. I was curious because I am visiting Maarten again in September and thought it's better to bring everything with me rather than sending it by mail. I am still hoping to receive packet 3 before September, but now it is almost 2 weeks and we did not make it to NVC yet.

hehe...I don't even know all the beer brands here since I don't drink them! I'll tell him to talk to the CO about the Alamo or something, that's what San Antonio is famous for..lol!

Pat started mailing me boxes of some of the little things he wanted to have here. I've gotten four so far and they get heavier with each shipment..lol! It IS fun to open them though and see that is inside..lol! He even sent my daughter what she calls her "Pat Bear"...a cute little stuffed bear laying on a pillow that snores..hehe!
