the 99 euro is what you have to pay for the interview itself.

You'll have to show a banknote that proofs that you payed.

Well dang...I didn't realize you had to pay for the interview.... What else can they come up with to make us pay for??? hehe!

Thanks for the information and for sharing, Peet!!!

Johnny mentioned something to me the other day about having to pay for the visa itself as well [as in the actual printing of the card that gets put into your passport], is this true or do you only pay for the shipping to have your passport returned to you? [sorry if my question doesn't make a lot of sense..]

Hmm, maybe that's what he was talking about. Who knows, the government charges for everything so it's possible there is still a charge for the visa.

I think when allllllll of this is said and done, everyone here will have spent well over $2000 on this visa + the adjustment of status to get the green card. Crazy huh? I personally think it's way too much money for someone just punching in our information on a computer for 15 minutes. =]

LOL, yep, they come up with the weirdest things to make us pay.

The 99 euro you need to pay up front and you need to bring postage, 7 euro for them to send the passport back.

That is it for the interview.

Blu, I am so sorry to hear that, hope it won't take too long.

Liz, I missed something? What concert, are you playing or singing yourself?

I am having a big setback here financially.

Tuesday I found a lump on the throat of one of my dogs, small, but enough reason to get back to the vet.

200 euro's further down the road, we are now looking at an operation on wednesday (don't know what that will cost yet) The lump is benign but right on her trachea and will cause breathing problems if it starts growing :(

So it has to come out now, so we aren't risking that she can't fly.

She has about 6 weeks to recover after that, so she should get permission to fly than.

Aw Peet, I'm so sorry to hear about your dog! I hope the surgery goes well and that it isn't too expensive! [wishful thinking on the expensive part]

With the 99 euros, do you have to pay it in cash or can you pay with your card?

The 99 euro has to be transferred before the interview. You need to bring proof from the bank with you to the interview.

As for Paquita, I just hopes she comes out ok.

For some reason I am not really surprised of something like this happening now, just glad it is benign.

Can't miss that darn dog yet

Ah okay, that makes sense.

How old is she? And it is good that it is benign, else you may have more problems on your hands.

Hey, I'm still around y'all, so tick another one from The Hague (Scheveningen is really The Hague anyway!:D).

Congrats to everyone getting along BTW and sorry to hear some of you having problems. But chin up, it will all get there eventually. Time does fly by though and when you get home, you'll look back at this and laugh at how stupid it all was just to be together.

Right now, I missed my police academy due to the visa taking so long to send to my house, so am part-timing as a 911 dispatcher until I can either get a better paying job or go to the academy in September. But the work situation where I live is extremely dire, we live in a community with only 2500 people, so there are only a few jobs and I got lucky I snapped one up already. I am an hour and 15 drive from Tulsa, but there is nothing more than minimum wage there right now, so it's not worth the cost of the commute each way...fingers crossed the economy will pick up soon as I want to get back into flight school to get my US licenses!

Take care everyone, I'll pop back soon (am on night shift right now)
