Just have to tell you guys that now, since we finally sent out the papers the whole thing seems more real.

Not just to me, but to my family also, now they start asking questions on what I will do with my washer, my bike

I also noticed with myself that I am pretty impatient, knowing that NOA1 should happen any day now, I keep bugging my friend ( don't know how to call him, I feel to old to have a fiance  and soon to be husband is such a mouth full. Will SO do?) about checking his mailbox.

I hope it gets better, I just would like to know that they got it (he didn't ask for confirmation on that, men!)

Slightly going nuts here, sorry

Hey Peet...SO works just fine for me...lol! ;-) My SO has been thinking along the lines of your family...what in the world am i going to do all my stuff?? He finally decided to just sell as much as he could and pocket the money so he'll have some for when he arrives and is looking for work. Not sure if that's an option for you but thought i'd share...:-)

I'm sure I'll be that bad when we file our papers ..which i'm happy to say will FINALLY be next month when Pat's here!!

I hope it gets better for you too!! Let us know when you get that NOA1!!

Hugs, Liz

No news here yet.

Did read someone who filed later, to have their check cleared, so I guess we should hear soon.

Don't want to bother Jack too much about his mailbox, he has a bad cold. Over here we are facing a flu epidemic, everyone in the office already got it, so I have been trying to get a lot of sleep to avoid getting it also.

Also means I haven't talked to him much this week.

Only two more weeks Liz...

I am so surprised I didn't see this thread sooner. :o

Hi, there. :) My name is Nikki. I'm 22 years old, and I'm engaged to a wonderful Dutch man who resides in Spijkenisse. We filed in October for his K-1 visa so that, after five years [this March], we can finally be together all the time, and I could not be more excited. :D

Peet - It took absolutely forever for the CSC to clear my check - About 8 days. It was the most nerve-wracking part of the application process thus far, as I had actually forgot to date the check. I was so convinced that I was going to get an RFE the same month that I sent my application, haha. But everything has gone well so far, so I wouldn't stress over it too much - It'll take a few days.

Hi Peet! Aww, sorry to hear Jack's sick! I hope he feels better very soon! I've heard about the flu epidemic...Patrick was sick with it for two weeks and still hasn't completely gotten rid of it all. Be careful so you don't get sick too!!!

I hope you hear something....i've been reading on here how the VCS is going at a snails pace right now! I hope it doesn't stay that way long though! They need to get on the ball and get some approvals done!!!!

Yep! Just two more weeks and I've got him here for 17 wonderful days! AND we're FINALLY going to be able to file for our K-1!!! He was able to get things worked out with his bank and he now has his international birth certificate and is waiting for his international divorce decree to arrive via mail....he should have it before he comes though!!

Welcome Nikki!!! So glad to have you here! Please feel free to stop by anytime....all the time if you want..lol! If you see above, you'll find my fiance and I haven't filed yet but will be doing so when he's here in a couple of weeks. He is from Den Haag...and when I told him where your fiance lived he said that was only about 25 miles from him! I sure hope that your K-1 is approved soon...CSC is really moving right now I've heard so maybe it won't be too long! I see your from California...mind if I ask where?

Hugs, Liz

Hurray! Very glad to hear that you received your NOA1. :) I hope the rest of the process goes smoothly for you.

Liz - Thank you for the kind welcome. :D I've been to Den Haag before - one of my fiance's good friends works there, so we got to spend a little bit of time in the city when I was in the country. I really can't get over the canals and the architecture of the whole country. It's really like a step back into time and I love it. :D

Anyway, to answer your question: I live about 30 minutes North of San Francisco, in Northern California. :)

The only doom that's looming is you loving me to death,

So I'll give you a sec to catch your breath.

Hi and Welcome everyone Dutch/American from sunny Texas!!!!!! :D

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

WOOHOO PEET!!! CONGRATS!!! :dance::dance::dance:

I bet that feels great finally getting that first step done!! I'm excited and happy for you!! How are you and Jack doing?? Is he still sick??

Nikki - Ooh..I've always wanted to visit Northern California...I've heard it's gorgeous there! I went to the Netherlands for about 1 1/2 days in May 2007 but we didn't get to do anything outside because the weather was horrible and it was kind of a last minute thing. I flew over from the UK where I was staying with some friends for a week. I do plan to go back this summer though and can't wait to see the city.....from what i saw when we drove home from the airport it's very nice!!

Hi tmma! I'm a Texas girl too!!! I live around the San Antonio area! Nice to see you here!!!

........

Hi tmma! I'm a Texas girl too!!! I live around the San Antonio area! Nice to see you here!!!

Hello!

I've been on VJ for a while and it's great to see some more Dutch/American couples...Especially from Texas.... :D San Antonio is great-we like to go there for weekends-love it! We live more in the Eastern part of the state-and it's really nice, but very very quiet.

Mark is from the Southern half of Holland, we were there for the Christmas Holidays last year. :D

Good Luck for a speedy process to all in whatever stage you are in....

We are in the Removing of Conditions stage-and playing the waiting, waiting, waiting game at VSC...The waiting doesn't change-When we filed K-1 at CSC a couple of years ago we were waiting, waiting, waiting because CSC was the slowest-VSC was super speedy back then.....Now we are filng at VSC for ROC and they are molasses slow now- Can't win-We did have the good luck to get on the DORA program at Dallas for AOS, though .....So, that's something.... :)

Anyway, Hi to all again and keep posting!

:D

Oh, my, you guys... I checked my email this morning and we got a notice saying that they approved our petition! I can't believe this. :)

I'm on the phone with my fiance right now, and he's going berserk, haha. We're so excited! We may have to push back our interview date, though, for financial reasons, but that's completely okay with both of us. We've been together so long.. what's a few more months? :)
