Hey all, back in Europe here.

And all snuggled up in a warm sweatshirt that belongs to Jack.

It is cold here. But than, it was over 90F DC.

As usual the trip was too short but we got a lot wiser this time.

Visited the high school my son will go to once we move.

The differences in schools are interesting, but I think my son will do fine, he is a pretty bright boy and handles most changes pretty well.

No news on the NOA2 yet :(

Liz, hope everything is ok, your health is very important.

Hey Peet! Glad you made it back safely!

I was talking to Patrick and he mentioned it was cold there again! Such a big change for you!

It won't be long before you'll be making that trip back again....this time to stay!!!

So is your son ready for the big move?? I'm glad he handles situations like this well...I'm not so sure my daughter would, but she's a lot younger than your son.

I'm sure it'll be here soon!! Your timeline says this week or next I think so it HAS to be here soon!!

Thanks, Peet! Today is the first day in a week I feel even a bit better!

Hugs, Liz

Hey all, hang in there, it'll come when you least expect it to! I wish you all very good luck!!!

I haven't received my visa yet....one week since the interview, so I'm a little down now, as today I was meant to start my Police training. If I get there soon though, I'll be able to catch up. Next hurdle is the 10th of May, as I've promised a friend to be there for her birthday! Red Lobster crab cakes here I come mwuhahahaha.

Hello all!!

Sorry sorry i haven't been on here in a while cuz i've been really busy!!

I'm leaving NL on May 22!!! The wedding is July 31 and there's like 35 family members who are coming from NL to our wedding! So was alot of organizing, planning etc for the tickets and hotelrooms!

I picked a moving company named World Freight Logistics in rotterdam. They bring the container to my house and i have 2 hrs to fill it myself...then it gets shipped etc and brought to the final address and we have to unload it ourself again in 2 hrs. That was the cheapest option..but means i have a whole 20 ft container to fill;) 2200 euros...yeah its a bit but its worth it in my case;)

Anybody who has questions when im not on here..just email me jpladdet@yahoo.com. Cuz i might be busy in the coming weeks! But ill try to answer questions as soon as i can!

Peet, I am really keeping my fingers crossed for you. I have high hopes for you that this is your week.

Liz, I'm so glad that you're feeling better and that your tests thus far have come back with nothing but good news. Let's hope that trend continues. :)

Jeanine - Goodness, the 22nd is really creeping up fast, isn't it? I'm so excited to hear that you'll soon be reunited with your fiance. :D Please continue to keep us posted whenever you can throughout the next few weeks.

Paul, I'm sure the fact that there have been some holidays is what's responsible for the delay in getting your visa. I'm certain you'll get it by the end of this week. If not, perhaps it wouldn't hurt to call them.

Yesterday, I realized I never sent TamTu something that he would need for his interview, so I rushed over to the post office to get it to him. I really hope it gets there in time, as his interview is fast approaching, but I'm often told that the postal system in The Netherlands is outstanding, so.. my fingers are definitely crossed.

Haha, aw. My name is Nikki. :) From your signature, I assume your name is Rianne -- Pleased to meet you. :) And, yeah, his interview is almost here. I'm excited! I see that you just started yours - The CSC has been working pretty fast lately, so I hope you'll hear some good news relatively quickly.

Hoi Nikki! Lol yes my call name is Rianne but you can also say Ri or what ever ;-) haha, nice to meet you too!

I can see that you are excited! Wooah! great!

Yes CSC was very fast in februari but now its really slowed down, people from March are still waiting for NOA2 so we have to see. They had problems at USCIS or so with the computer.

Yes I really hope that our jouney goes smooth and quick, I am just back (since tuesday) in NL from a 3 months visit and it sucks, i feel more bad for my husband because he is there totally alone, no family and friends are living about 11/2 hour away, its just his work (military) but they are kind a like family too. He will be very lonely but its the way it is, I have my dutch family and friends here and i am going back to work i think so than time goes faster we will see.

I will look at your timeline so i know how yours went! ;-)

Good luck with the last couple things!

Oh noooo!! I was hoping you'd be home this weekend!

Hmm, I could swear I've read in one of the UK threads where they gave either an email address or phone number you could call. You might could try looking in the UK Interview thread...that might be where I saw it!

I snuck in through a backdoor and got the number out of an unsuspecting receptionist hehehe. I'm still being processed and they only work 830am-430pm Monday thru Friday on cases, so I am looking at Tuesday onwards now. At least I'm through though, it's just frustrating. :D
