Hey all!

Just wanted to say hi to all and wanted to wish you guys all the luck with the whole k1 process! The journey is testing at times but oh so worth it!

I am a fellow 'kaaskop' (lol) and went through the whole k1 process myself and have been living in Florida for over 2 years now. (and for you Dutchies, I am also from the North)

Anyways, just saying hi and good luck!

That is quite a change, from dreary Netherlands to Florida.

Really hoping to be able to tell you guys we applied by this weekend.

Never expected it to take so long for us to actually get the papers for that together

Can't say I am too happy over that, but than, I am the impatient one of the two of us.

Just one more week and I'll be getting on the plane.

Can't wait.

I don't know if you guys found it yet, but there used to be another Netherlands thread here as well. It was started around the time I was going through the whole k1 process or at least the whole part I had to do after my noa 2. I live about 45 min from Orlando, on the Space Coast, although I did spend all summer in Orlando this year(but that's a whole different story)

Hmm..for some strange reason I all of a sudden have a craving for 'drop'.....LOL

Speaking of drop, I think we will have to find a new place to order our Dutch supplies. We have been using one website, as it has nearly everything that my hubby wants. However, we were really unhappy with our last transaction and they are not even responding to email now.

So, any suggestions from anyone on where to import some goodies from the Netherlands?

Peet - We had sleet but no snow flurries thankfully. And i was quite happy that all the sleet was gone by the time I had to drive to work! hehe! And I completely hear you on wanting to get filed! We're still waiting on Pat's bank to clear something up before we can! I'm crossing my fingers for both of us that we're filed SOON!

Em - Very cool!! My friend wanted my daughter and I to come visit this summer but we never made it. I think we'll wait and go once Pat's here so that we can visit Disneyland..hehe!!

Keltic - Which website did you use? I have a friend at work who's husband is from Rotterdam and they order things from the Netherlands from time to time. I can ask her for the website if you'd like me to?

Just had to share....I got some great news today...Pat is coming for a two week visit on January 30th!! I can't wait!!!!!

I am just back from a visit to PA and have to say it gets harder and harder to leave after spending time together.

But we had a good time, wonderful x-mas and what it made even better, the papers are off to Vermont

The 30th we finally got the last paper we needed and so we managed to get it out (same day) just before it turned 2009.

So now the waiting game starts.

I know what you mean, when Pat left last June it was the worst feeling ever! WOOHOOO!! Great news about filing Peet!! We've hit a snag and it looks like we won't file now until he's here at the end of the month.

and yeah My maiden name is dutch as you get VRIESWIJK

For another twist on the matter my hsband lives in a town called NEDERLAND, not kidding

Awww...I hope it's not much longer until your together permanently! My fiance will be here on January 30th for a 17-day stay. It's been 7 months since we last saw each other....I'm soooooo ready to see him again!!!!
