Yeah its a bit stressful but yeah, it is how it is;) we are just trying to figure out rates and what places are available for July/August. Then we'll have to pick a date cuz family of me is coming over for the wedding and they'll have to book flights, take off time from work etc. But we want to be a little more sure first w/ the visa. So waiting prob for interview date and see what reactions we get from reception places...then kinda 'pick' and go there as soon as i get in the usa to decide. Because i first want to see the place in real too;) not nice if John has to go look alone.

How did you guys pick the place Liz? Looks nice too! U went with Pat to look when he was there just couple weeks ago?

Im SO curious if our packet 3 arrived back at the Consulate today;) i sent it yesterday lol....

I guess since we're having a small wedding and reception, I'm not too stressed out over the wedding part...YET..lol! When it gets closer to time I'm sure I'll be going crazy.

Jeanine - I just did some research online and then went to visit in person last summer. We didn't make it to see it when Pat was here last month but just from the pictures we decided that it was the place for us.

Is there anyway you can check if it go to the Consulate yet??

Hugs, Liz

Wow, just be glad you aren't getting as much rain as we are in the Netherlands.

It's so depressing!

I thought I'd post an update here, Lindsey received my application two days ago and mailed it to the Vermont Service Center yesterday (USPS overnight), so it should be there now :)

I'm really hoping everything will go by quickly, as I was surprised to see that John and Jeanine got their consulate letter a little over 4 months after they sent in their application. Congratulations! You guys are so close to getting the visa =]

Hopefully it'll go by as fast for everybody as it did for John and Jeanine!

Hey Johnny...I saw a post you did on another thread and wondered where you were...lol!

hehe...what part of the Netherlands are you from? Patrick said it rains there all the time...he's soooooo ready to be here and enjoy the Texas weather...lol!

YAY! Congrats on getting your petition officially filed!! You'll probably get your NOA1 in the mail in about 2 weeks. If Lindsey paid the fee by check and she gets those back, she can find your receipt number on the back of it and track it online much sooner. She'll have to create and account on the USCIS website but it's really easy to do.

I'm with you....I wouldn't mind getting our NOA2 in 4 months time!! There are even some people on here getting them in just over 3 months!!!

I know exactly what he means, I am soooo ready to be back in Florida as well. You really start to miss the sunshine after being used to it for 7 years.

That's crazy how some people have gotten their NOA2 in just 3 months time. Must be the bad economy, less people applying because they either can't afford it or don't want to move. For whatever reason it may be, I am hoping I'll get it in 3 months as well :D

Peet is right, it really doesn't matter where you are in the Netherlands (I'm actuallly at the very southern tip, Maastricht area), the weather is crappy everywhere.

btw, hows the arm doing? I read on your blog last night what's been going on...is it any better?

Johnny - Wow...you are really down in that corner aren't you...hehe! Hopefully none of you will have to deal with the crappy weather there much longer!!

wow, im away for a few days and look at all this good news! congrats everyone!

No news on the job front. I wont know till after springbreak now. Yesterday i had to be the one getting the teachers that are being fired, from their room. It was an awful job, but im the principals secretary. as soon as the teachers realised that if i would come to their room it meant bad news, they started calling me the grim reaper. a joke of course, but a bit of a sour one. it has made me a little depressed. only 2 'deserved' to be fired. the other 6 definately not.

we got married just the 2 of us. We drove up to hot springs AR and had booked 2 nights in a fancy hotel and 2 nights in a B&B where we would get married. I was wearing a light pink dress and had my hair done at the Arlington (old hotel). i remember that the hairdresser asked me if i was nervous and i said no, i dont have 200 people waiting for me, just my fiance. :) it was 31st dec 2007. sunny and 60F, perfect! the people who married us, were so nice, we had gotten to know them well and they invited us to a NYE party of their friends (alan and joe). We went and had a great time. We are now even better friends with them! Alan and joe are the ones we stayed with when we were evacated. We will also see them monday during our trip.

We werent going to do anything else, but then my mum came over in may 08 and we decided to have a little ceremony again at thomas' parents house.

Oh boy, we went way up today on Igor's list.

It sure looks like VSC is back to work now and I sure hope they stay at it.

I do hope you are right Jeanine, hope it is really fast.

It would save me a lot of headaches being unemployed. The pressure of getting started on an education is no fun at all and they still think I should sign a contract for 6 months or something

And yes, real summers, or winters, after all this rain.

Wouldn't that be great

Walking the dogs 4 times a day, having them drag in all the mud and have the house smell like wet dog...

I am sick of it.

Aww, Marieke...lovely pictures!!

Ours is going to be small...the 40 we're inviting are almost all just my family (I'm the youngest of 5 and they all have kids and grandkids..lol) and a handful of friends. It even looks like we're going to have a couple of Pat's closest from from the Netherlands here for it! I'm so excited, I can't wait to meet them!!

Peet - How muchdid you go up on Igor's? We went up about 4 spots...
