I'm also from the north of Holland, actually from the northeast.

It's really nice, but very flat!

Hopefully soon I can tell you all about the NOA2 stage, for now I'm still waiting....and waiting....and waiting

Right now we are still waiting for my friends birth certificate to arrive, which takes ages.

Sometimes there is something to say for the Dutch registration system.

We send our first pack away July 8th and we got our NOA1 on July 31. We filed through an attorney... don't ask me why now, cause it makes no sense anymore, but we thought it was the best way to do it then. A lot of the July filers were getting their NOA2 the last 2 weeks, so hopefully mine is coming soon to, cause I´m going crazy checking the USCIS website 5 to 10 times a day!!

aww, Nona...I hope that NOA2 is here very soon! I would think you should get it soon...especially with others fromjuly getting theirs!!!

How was everyone's day? I started a new job today...same company but I'm now in a new department. It's a bit scary...i was in my old job 8 1/2 years so I was a bit nervous but I really think I'm going to like it in the new one! At least I got away from the boss I had....she was horrible!! hehe!

Oops....gotta run, my daughter is calling for me!

Anyone going to spend x-mas together?

I'll be getting on the plane the 21st to visit for the holidays.

First time it is just the two of us, usually my son is with us also.

Looking forward to be together and take the dogs for long walks on the beach.

Sadly we're not able to....we've not been together for a Christmas yet. Patrick is coming here in February though for our 2nd anniversary.....hard to believe we've been together almost two years already!!!

We had a visit like that...Patrick came here in March but my daughter was on her spring holiday and was with her Auntie..hehe! It was strange not having her with us but it was really nice at the same time having him all to myself...

Any special plans for Christmas day?

I was just answering and finishing my reply, when I lost my internet connection... so I have to start over again.

So here it is:

We got our approval!!!!

Isn't that the best news ever!!

I never got a touch, still didn't get an email notification by USCIS and on their website it still says that our case is pending!

But today I received an envelop of the Consulate in Amsterdam, that they can begin processing our case!

I'm so happy and excited! It's such a relief when you finally get the news.

Today our lawyer also send an email that our case was approved on Nov. 26. I don't knwo why she didn't say it sooner, but.... nothing can ruin this day!

And besides that, my man got a new job today!! Isn't it great?

So, I just wanted to let you know that... and of course I'm ready to answer everything you need to know! I'll be happy to help.

By the way:

Liz, congrats and good luck with your new job and Peet, I'm gonna live in Virginia, about an 1,5 hour drive from DC

Thanks about the job...it was a really good first week! I'm certainly enjoying it MUCH better than my previous job!!!

Off to get ready for my family coming tomorrow....we're going to have a houseful....32 people!! Should be fun...LOL!

In the meantime I am also raiding the shops here for stroopwafels and other stuff since I can't visit the US without bringing some

Hope everyone is doing well! We're bracing for a cold front coming in tonight...might even have flurries tonight!! Almost unheard of for this part of Texas...hehehehehe!
