Right now ours says between June 29 and July 12....we'll see how many more times that changes..LOL! I'll be absolutely thrilled with mid-June though!

I hope you don't mind keeping us informed on the steps as you do them? I'm looking forward to seeing how long the next couple of steps take...NVC...Packet 3...then Packet 4 with the Interview date in it. I read in other countries it can be up to a three month wait to have your interview...I'm really curious to see how the Netherlands are.

I've already started gathering documents here....my financial things like paystubs, tax forms...etc. I need to feel like I'm doing something productive while I'm waiting.

Hugs, Liz

2 months is really fast. I got my approval 2 years ago and at that time it was also 3 months. Well done! In holland the timeline for an interview is 5 weeks. And thats what i got. The dutch embassy is really normal and regular. We're lucky!!

http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/inde...p;cty=Amsterdam this has some good info! I am also gathering things for my 10yr visa. Its not until 8 July 2010 but i collect all evidence for the interview! Envelopes with both our names, a CD with wedding pics, travel documents, utility bills, lease contract etc. Sometimes i miss all this USCIS stuff. It was nervewrecking but such a cool feeling we went through all this to be with eachother.

I wish I was still at home in Holland, as I wouldn't have to travel all day and spend over a hundred pounds just on travel fees to get to London and back grr. In The Hague, I'm within walking distance of the Embassy, but Amsterdam is only really 45 minutes by car, so not a problem either. Driving in to London is a no-go, with parking fees being astronomical, the embassy being within the congestion charge area and it being a 5 hour drive each way, I'm not impressed LOL. Luckily, I have friends an hour North, which is where I'm staying now for awhile. That helped me for the medical, as I didn't have to stay there the night before in order to make it on time.

I hope to have an interview in April, but I'm a little concerned due to our 2x RFEs. Still, although the K1/K-3 route is going faster, I'm lucky that I can work the same day I enter the USA. I'm dying for a real job, I'm so bored just sitting around waiting!

LOL, it is quite far as I'm in England now. But if I were in Holland it'd be a piece of (cup?)cake!

I'm banking on mid-April now, which isn't awful to be honest. I just want this to be done with, we're fighting a lot right now about nothings. We'll pull through, but it's bothering us both that we fight on the phone, so we're on "chat mode" only for awhile to see if that helps. Neither of us want to argue, but the stress doesn't help. I'm trying to run a household in proxy from 4500 miles with her, if we can do this we can do bloody anything, eh.

Ahh bad news about the vaccination papers. Since I still had nothing in the mail from GGD, I decided to call the rijksvaccinatiedienst. The simple lady on the phone kept saying she didnt get any information about me on the screen no matter what she tried. So my information most likely is lost there:(

Good thing my mom wrote most (hopefully all) the stuff in a little book that you get when u're a baby...the last years are registered at my doctor so those wont be a problem. I guess we'll ask my doctor to write a letter with all those vaccinations and put a stamp on there..pretty sure he will. But im pissed of that those organizations just lose the information about your vaccinations! and its not that im like really old..i need information from 1986...so im sure should be still around:(

But o well..we're approved and thats already a big step!

Everybody...have a good day!!

Paul - I feel for you...being so far from your wife and home! I hope the "chat mode only" helps...just hang tough, you WILL get through this and then can be with your beautiful Kourtni soon!!!

Jeanine - Oh no!! That does truly stink! If your having trouble then I'm sure Patrick will too since he'll need them from around 1969 or so. I think he's pretty much decided though to just get the ones Marieke mentioned again and have that part done.

TGIF everyone!!!!! Anyone have plans for the weekend?

Well tonight we are having a BBQ on the roof of our building with all the people in the building. Tomorrow we have to go to work, its a make up day for what we missed during the hurricane. We missed 17 days, 10 days were forgiven by TEA but 7 we have to make up for, so no more early releases or holidays plus 2 saturdays. It sucks to say the least. So Saturday night im not sure yet. Sunday we are going to Thomas' sisters new apartment. Then on to Houston to see a friend and Ikea after.

We booked our hotels last night for our Springbreak trip! I AM SO EXCITED!!! I love roadtrips!! Whats yalls favorite area of the US?

Its hard. I know you know this but sometimes you need to be reminded that it will be so worth it in the end!

Maybe you can do something small and cute, just to make her day. Maybe some flowers or a handwritten card in the mail. My husband did that when we were getting down and out with it. Its a hard process and you need to pull eachother through this. Just stay sweet to eachother and if you fight, call back later. Its not worth it.

You say you miss holland but i miss london! I lived there for 5 years. What a great time!

Ugh...I hate when i have to work the weekend!

I'm going house-hunting....sort of...LOL! I'm trying to find a place to rent, I'm staying with my parents at the moment...until I can find just the right place for us. And this is my weekend without my daughter (she'll be at her Dad's) so it's going to be a bit quiet... :(

The rest of the time I'll be helping my Dad outside and talking to Patrick online..:-)

Marieke - Where are you going for your Springbreak? When I have vacation, I usually stay in or around San Antonio. When Patrick was here last June, we went to Corpus and really liked it! I think Mustang Island is gorgeous!

I dont like finding a place to live. Its stressful and then you have to move!! Phew!

We are going: 2 nights austin (we have a wedding) staying with friend, then to dallas staying with friends, then to hot springs, AR staying with friends, then memphis, nashville, birmingham and new orleans! In NOLA we are stasying in a haunted hotel in the french quarter, the others in a motel6 =)

We havent been to Corpus area yet. I dont particularly want to go springbreak... =)

In the summer we want to drive to Colorado, i have the feeling thats going to be my favorite area!

Yeah, moving is not fun at all! Thankfully I have a young nephew and his buddies that help me..lol!

Wow...that sounds like and awesome Springbreak!!! Haunted Hotel huh? You should come to San Antonio sometime and stay at the Emily Morgan Hotel if you like that. It's haunted too....kinda creepy to me..LOL!!

I've always wanted to see Colorado....I've only been east of Texas so far but I know Pat and I will be doing a lot of traveling when he gets here.
