Marieke - another of my numerous questions....what did thomas use as supporting documents when he sent the Affidavit of Support? If I just send Pat my 2008 tax return and w2's from 2005-2008 will that be enough?

He had a letter from his boss stating he works there, a few paystubs (pretty recent) and W2's and some other ones i want to say 1090? Or something similar. i was going to look up the papers last night but i fell asleep on the couch

Crisco, that's it! Urgh. I'll have to look at off-the-shelf, I'll await Marieke's reply, as a cupcake fan she must know! :D

Well i just started! I use a cakemix right now, but not sure which brand. Not Crisco though. Mine has a little chef on it. I am wanting to make them from scratch though. This weekend i recieved my cookbooks and so now i can start. But no way i want yukkie stuff in it!

Thanks Marieke!!

I can do the letter from work but the only problem is that it's an automated type letter....no signature on it. I can do the paystubs and w2's....and i read on the USCIS site that they want a letter from your bank???

Maybe you can have it notarized, can no one sign it at his work? nah he didnt give me a letter for the bank. this part though, all the tax stuff, we got an RFE. I forgot one paper. I will have to wait till i get home to see what exactly it was. But didnt make it take much longer.

I'm waiting to talk to my boss to see if she'd be willing to sign it for me but i'm not sure she can. Ok good...i didn't want to have to mess with the bank...lol! Ohh...thats what I dread most...an RFE....

Check this link http://travel.state.gov/pdf/I-864GenInfo-FAQ-Final.pdf Sent copies!

I also remembered that my RFE was when i was already here, for my AOS. I doubt it was a 1090A i probably made that up! But i remember it was something that came in after i sent the package off. Something to do with taxes.

Now onto cupcakes, as I've just got up and I have a sweet tooth for breakfast LOL. In my experience, Kourtni and friends, who love making stuff, use a very fatty baking lard for the cupcake icing, is it called "crinko" or something? Here in Europe, to the best of my knowledge, we use water and icing sugar combined. Add some sprinkles and you're done. I can NOT eat the crinko icing, I might as well be drinking the deep fryer contents rather than the food that gets fried in it...it is just pretty awful to me. But I love cakes, so I'm at a loss as I think I now have a complexion with this whole icing thing...I can't go to dunkin to grab some donuts, or other popular places as I'm led to believe the crinko way is the norm. Say it ain't so? Purrlleeaase?

Here is the icing that my mom always made:

http://southernfood.about.com/od/icingrecipes/r/bl30108o.htm

Creamy butter frosting recipe

Ingredients:

1/3 cup butter

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 pound (3 1/2 cups) sifted confectioners sugar

3 to 4 tablespoons milk

Preparation:

Cream butter, salt, and vanilla, beating until light and fluffy. Add sugar gradually, beating after each addition. Add 3 tablespoons milk, beating until smooth. Beat in more milk until desired spreading consistency is reached. Makes about 2 1/3 cups of frosting, enough to frost tops and sides of of an 8-inch 2-layer cake or a 10-inch tube or bundt cake, or about 1 dozen cupcakes.

You can start with this and add all kinds of flavors for whatever you like.

And if you can... PLEASE get your donuts from KrispyKreme. Dunkin is just not the same.

Ladies, you are going way too fast for me.

Can someone direct me to the forms or the right place where we can find what we need for the next step so we can start getting things together also?

Ladies, you are going way too fast for me.

Can someone direct me to the forms or the right place where we can find what we need for the next step so we can start getting things together also?

What to send to your fiance(e) once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2):

1. A copy of the entire I-129f package (that you made when you sent the petition in) and a copy of information that you sent back due to an RFE (if you received one).

2. Send all originals of the documentary proof that you submitted for the I-129F to your fiance(e) for their interview at the embassy.

3. Send an original letter affirming your desire to marry your fiance(e) and your continued support of the K-1 Visa. Sign and date the form. This will be similar to the letter you provided with the I-129F, but dated much closer to the interview (it will have most likely been several months since you submitted your I-129F).

4. I-134 Affidavit of Support form. Ensure it is signed, with all required supporting evidence. Begin collecting the required information ahead of time, as it can often take several weeks to collect it all.

5. You will likely need at a minimum (for the above form) two to three of your most recent pay stubs and a signed letter from your employer listing you job title, start date, your salary, and the status (full-time) of your position. Begin collecting these ASAP after your NOA2 arrives. You will also probably want to include other evidence such as your banking information and other assets as required by the I-134. Specifically you will need at least 2 of the 4 options mentioned in Section II-Supporting Evidence of the I-134. See this FAQ for more tips and ueful information on the Affidavit of Support Form.

6. A copy of the NOA2 that you received in the mail.

7. Proof of your ongoing relationship. This needs to be taken to the interview! Include photos, travel documents, emails, etc from between the time you filed and present (NOA1 date-now).

Examples: Copies of phone bills, cell phone bills, emails (you can edit personal info with a marker), letters (edit personal info also), stamps on the letters (to document the date they were sent), and other written documentary proof. Provide a reasonable amount; two to four of each type. Pick a range of dates up to and including the present. You can also include a copy of engagement ring receipt (this is something that is a big optional - do not worry if you do not have a ring yet!)
