there really doesnt have to be much confusion, the website is pretty clear:

18-64 years

DTP (Diphteria, Tetanus and Polio) --> get it from the pharmacy and go to your dr BEFORE the appointment with the Embassy's dr! Then get refunded.

BMR (Mumps (Bof), Measles and Rubella) --> if born after 1956 (if administered before 12 months of age, repeat dose)

Marieke....your flashing cupcakes are making me hungry...LOL!

haha!

Oh geez i feel like a geek! I didnt realize this was a k-1 k-3 filers preferred topic  sorry

Just wanted to keep everyone up to date, we filed our I-130, G325A's and all the other doc's at the consulate in Amsterdam!

Quick, painless and easy going. We were told it could take up to 12 weeks but the CO said probably less than that since we were so 'well prepared' WHEW!

Onto the next steps!

Exactly! This process isn't that bad, like you said, some is a bit more confusing than others but between you and your fiance(e) you should be able to figure it out.

yeah there were moment where i wanted to pull my hair out, or thomas' (..wait. he doesnt have hair! )! its a lot of reading and research, but those 'touches' and NOA's keep you sharp! Just prepare, always try to be one step ahead so it wont cause any stress when time comes. And above all: talk to people who went through the same process in the same country!

Ai, I eyed those cupcakes for a while now also.

I have 2 sisters that are really into the cake baking business.

That means cupcakes for many occasions also.

Yummie.

But Jack is out of luck, I am a terrible cook unlike my 3 sisters.

About the vaccinations, that is what I read into it, but I couldn't imagine that would be all it takes.

I will have them done after my ribs and arm heal up I think.

My buy for this month is 2 kennels for the flight. This way both dogs can get used to them early.

I'll leave them in the living room for the next months, covers in there and treats are going to be fed in the kennels.

I found a place that sells them for a very good price, since I need 2 large ones, I am really happy about that.

I have looked at marktplaats but didn't find what I needed or wanted.

Marieke! Did you already pull all of thomas' hair out???:whistle: just kidding!!! :innocent:

I have a feeling a lot of us will either be minus a few hairs or be more gray than when we started...

Peet - hehe....I keep seeing them flashing there and thinking...i want cupcakes, i want cupcakes...its like they hypnotize you!

Were you able to find out how hard or expensive it's going to be to take the dogs with you?

I did the same with our cats when they were still only 9 months old. Got em a fairly big kennel each, got a large hamster water bottle strapped to the top, started getting them used to using it for water as we were worried they'd dehydrate. They slept in the kennels for a few weeks prior to the flight and were good as gold, even though some moron at gatwick airport walked pushed past us in the check-in line and knocked one of them from on top of the other!!!

Now onto cupcakes, as I've just got up and I have a sweet tooth for breakfast LOL. In my experience, Kourtni and friends, who love making stuff, use a very fatty baking lard for the cupcake icing, is it called "crinko" or something? Here in Europe, to the best of my knowledge, we use water and icing sugar combined. Add some sprinkles and you're done. I can NOT eat the crinko icing, I might as well be drinking the deep fryer contents rather than the food that gets fried in it...it is just pretty awful to me. But I love cakes, so I'm at a loss as I think I now have a complexion with this whole icing thing...I can't go to dunkin to grab some donuts, or other popular places as I'm led to believe the crinko way is the norm. Say it ain't so? Purrlleeaase?

Oh and I guess Kourtni does have a southern accent, I think it's hot! But not Britney Spears southern though, that one is even hotter!

Marieke - another of my numerous questions....what did thomas use as supporting documents when he sent the Affidavit of Support? If I just send Pat my 2008 tax return and w2's from 2005-2008 will that be enough?

hehe...I thought it might be. I remember my mom using it when i was growing up but not for icing. Being from the South, she fried a lot of our food and that's what she would use.
