Heads up to those going for an interview in Amsterdam, even though our letter stated hubby needed original birth certificate and a translation of it for the interview, once he was in with the interviewer they actually requested something else: an INTERNATIONAL birth record. They accepted his original cert and translation he brought (which had also been submitted and accepted by USCIS and NVC) but never in any of our documentation/correspondence did it specify he needed the international version instead. Interviewer says it happens all the time there. My lawyer didn't know either.

Our suggestion to all is bring both if possible just in case they become sticklers at some point:

http://www.denhaag.nl/en/residents/to/Certificates-from-the-Registry-Office-copy-or-extract.htm

http://www.denhaag.nl/en/residents/to/Birth-certificate.htm

Just to re-iterate - they DID accept the normal version w/ translation. I'm just making sure you have the opportunity to cover all bases if you have the time.

That's going on for a couple years now. Friends of mine had to come back because they didn't had the international birth certificate.

Luckily when i got mine i had to get the international one because the other wasn't in English.

Finally got my EAD approval. I decided to check the website today (On a Sunday no less) and it said approved. My wife yelled at me to stop screaming at her and tell her what's going on.

So quick question again for those who got their EAD. How long did you wait for the card? Can I go in for an interview without the card? Could I even pottentially start working without it?

Thanks in advance! You guys are great
