What bank are you using? By what you provided most banks would allow you to open a account. Check online what the really need. And if you want to open a joint account your husband should be able to add you easily on his. Did you try a credit union instead of a bank they are easier to apply for and most often have better offers then bigger banks. Downsides is that there only local and that you have to look for a ATM you can use fee free. But have said that you can get money back at mostly every store you use your debit card so that shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks! I'll look into that :D We went to TD Bank and tried to add me to my husband's account, but they said they recently got a new client policy, which wouldn't allow me an account based on the info I provided. I apparently don't have enough forms of photo ID <_< We're looking into Wells Fargo now, but my husband would rather not move banks because all his bills are taken from that account..

A university-preparatory school or college-preparatory school. I would compare it to High school. If your able try to convert / translate your diploma's to the American system.

Quick question regarding the filing for AOS and form I-693. It says the following:

  1. Ks: If you were admitted to the United States as a fiance(e) (K-1), child of a fiance(e) (K-2), Spouse of a U.S. citizen (K-3), or child of K-3 (K-4), and received a medical examination prior to admission, then you do not require another medical examination as long as your application for adjustment of status (Form I-485) is filed within one year of your overseas medical examination. You will, however, be required to submit a vaccination supplement with our adjustment of status application. The vaccination supplement must be completed by a designated civil surgeon.

Is the vaccination supplement they require included in the medical package that I got in the mail that I'm mailing along with my AOS package? Or am I going to have to see a local civil surgeon in the U,S?

February 15th - sent package to Dallas. Took a long time to get to Dallas because of weather conditions and delays.

March 3rd - NOA1.

March 5th - Received alien registration number.

August 21st- NOA2.
September 8th - NVC received package and assigned case #
September 11th - Embassy received package.
September 16th - Received Packet 3.
September 17th - Sent packet 3 back.
September 23rd - Received packet 4.
October 14th - Medical.
October 21st - Interview. - Interview approved, visa granted!

November 1st - Moving to the U.S.

I only filed the vaccination supplement that I received at the medical too, no issues so far. But my friend did the same and received RFE for it, now has to see a US civil surgeon. So maybe it's subjective and depends who is reviewing your file?!
