Esalaams/Hello Gooood morning everyone!

Long time since I have done a 'day thread' but here goes ... it's Hump day-middle of the week ...TG... tomorrow is Thanksgiving ... we have a little celebration lined up, intimate gathering with some friends of mine. I am still clueless what to make ... they have pretty much already picked what they want to bring ... I cannot seem to think what is left for me to bring ... Enchallah bring a jazzed up green bean casserole and some desserts since I seem to get alot of compliments on them. I am hoping, wishing it will be a good event ... has to be ... when is it not when you mix good friends, food and fun together. First time I will be taking out my son too ... (other then for doc apps) ...

My precious is 2 months now ... waw time flys. He is so big now machAllah ... more then 5kg. He has been smiling for about 2 weeks now ... but made his first laugh 3 days ago! I wished we had it videotaped it :blush: And best of all his health issues have seemed tp disappear ... seems prayers do work miracles.

All from me ... later more! Happy Thanksgiving everyone... this year seems to have alot to be thankful for (for me) !

henia, I am so glad your baby is doing ok. I am having a rough time of it ( my husband is gone... I am sad over the baby and him leaving) but I made plans to get my little girl dressed up and to take my son ( he has taken the babys death the hardest) My husband might come back but I am bracing for the worst. ) Work has picked up. My babys tombstone is getting installed today sometime so I can visit him on thanksgiving and not see a patch of wet dirt. I am very thankful for my other kids and for my mom and I just decided to hang in there for them. I think of you often and I know you are doing the best you can and that this time has been crazy for you too. I just wanted you to know I cared and please pray for me and soften the hearts of who I am dealing with. I need to be strong for my kids and to give them decent holiday memories. But I have to bring the tombstone to frution ( today) and to start getting closure or I will never recover

I love you Henia

Henia,

Alhamdulillah your little one is doing better. How are YOU doing though? I've been worried about you. I hope you have a super teriffic thanksgiving.

Kat, I hope that this holiday brings you more than bad memories and a hurt heart. I wish that it will bring your family close and give you some comfort in being around the ones that you love ensha'allah. Wether you believe it or not, you HAVE been very strong through all of this. No matter the reasons that have kept you sane...You've stayed sane and that is what counts. THAT is what makes you strong. God will bring you peace with time so in the meantime, enjoy those 2 little angels of yours and cherrish the people that you still do have. I love ya girl.

It's the day before Turkey day...I'm all excited to go meet Amy in Columbia or Jeff sometime before we leave this week. Maybe we'll schedule something today?? Amygirl, let's make it happen!

Jackie, Turia..the invitation still stands :) You are all also welcome to come to my families place for Turkey day if you want. Heck, make it a trip like no other!!

Love you all!

Amal

Happy Hump Day!!! I am at work today and will finish my grocery shopping at lunch and start preparing my dishes for mom's house tonight when I get home. I think I am making a cheeseball, greenbean casserole, cherry cheesecake and and I have to make 3 dozen deviled eggs. This is exciting this year because it is my husband's first Thanksgiving. :luv:

:help: Ok, I need help....we had to bring some of our nice potted plants inside. My psycho cat has started to dig in them and my husband said she pooped two different times in them. What can I get to keep her out of them?

Happy Hump Day, and Thanksgiving Eve!

Workin' till 3 today. Well almost workin'. Everyone's basically standing around chit chattin'. I have all my ingredients to cook my trifle at home and my girls are cooking with their stepmother over at her house (so she can clean the mess..yippeeee). Emily's making a cranberry souffle where she has to boil cranberries and strain them, etc. I didn't have the heart to tell her everyone in the family prefers the kind out of the can where you can see the lines on the sides. lol. Megan is cooking chocolate chip cream cheese bars.

Hubby has to work double shifts today, tomorrow, thanksgiving and friday. :crying::crying::crying:

Morning All. Can't wait till the day is over.

Tasha - when my cats did that I put a layer of rock on top of the dirt. They couldn't figure it out and pretty much stayed out of them. Now eating the leaves was a whole other issue.....

Hope everyone has a great day!
