I think you have a very good package set up. The lease is another extra prove, but if you don't have one they will understand, plus you are giving them a lot of proof of a legit marriage.

Good Luck!

Your information looks very similar to mine and because you are also doing 4 years as we did you have a lot of documents. I put it into a box - one of the priority post boxes from USPS - and it fit perfectly (364 pages). We also don't have a lease and the mortgage is only in my husband's name but I addressed that issue in the cover letter. I think you have enough other evidence of co-mingling your lives that you won't need to worry about that one. Good luck!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Looks very good and detailed. We sent in our packet two not too long ago and we covered similar things... bills, rent agreement, car titles.. etc we covered it from the date the GC was issued right up till we filed. I've already went and had the biometrics this week and also went in for an InfoPass as the NOA extending my GC never arrived.

I'm sure everything will be fine with a packet like that! Good luck! :D

I would be applying soon (Window opens in June) for the I-751, we have some joint documents together except that we have never filed our taxes together. Can this be a big issue? And if yes, what can be done?

Below is a list of what we currently have to present:

Joint checking/savings Bank Account Statements for years 2007/08/09 will have 5 statements in 2009

Joint Auto Insurance billing statements/Policy docs/Insurance cards for years 2007/08/09

Joint Credit Card Statements for years 2007/08

Past Medical insurance Cards/Certificates of coverage

AAA Membership Cards/Statements for years 2007/08

Photos

Apartment lease for 2007/08/09.

Kindly advice.

Wildflash,

I think the tax returns would be fine if it shows 'married' at least both of your names were on each others tax returns. Some couple do that for sure not just you alone. If you filed 'single' in your taxes, then you really need to do something like Haole had suggested.Yes, bills both in your names or one in your name and the other in your spouse name showing same home address,Your drivers licenses or state ID showing same address, anything in joint names would be good to send. Good luck!
