Why? Oh, let's fly in the face of scientific evidence, in favour of bigoted, emotive opinion based on some outmoded view of what 'god' thinks about gays. Seriously, I don't give a flying fart what anyone thinks of gay people in the privacy of their own home, the dinasaurs will soon be dead, but to disrupt the normal lives of gay people because of these nonsensical opinions has gone on quite long enough.

This not about the highlighted, it's about raising children. Get a clue, Cleo.

Um, maybe you need to re read my post. I said, I doing give a flying fart what the 'bigots' think about gays in the privacy of their own homes, these bigots are dinasaurs and a dying breed (hurrah!) but people like that have been given free rein to meddle in the affairs of the normal lives of gay people for far too long. Enough is enough, and science and logic backs up the notion that being a gay parent has absolutely no negative effect on children. Logic and reason will prevail, eventually.

bigots in the privacy of their own home, not gays. Brother, you have to hold the hands of some people.

I am not a bigot, and very much resent that assertion. We are all entitled to our opinions and beliefs in this country. You need to get on board with that.

Madame,

According to the CNN Exit Poll on Prop 8 in Kali, the only age group that did not support Prop 8 (i.e. defended gay marriage rights) was 18-29. Respondents aged 30 and above voted for Prop 8 (i.e. against gay marriage rights).

If you're waiting for all the 30 year olds to die out, you're in for a long wait.

and in another dozen years, those 18 year olds might feel like the 30+ year olds do now.

Sorry A.J, you got the fact back to front. Supporting prop 8 (yes) was the trad marriage crowd. Those against it are the ones who supported gay marriage rights.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Unlikely.

Times change and so do people attitudes. But sometimes it has to take place by segments of society passing on.

Do I now? Interesting, I didn't realise the US had thought police. Sorry, but supporting a view that can't be supported by scientific evidence that denies a group of people rights is bigotted. Rightly, you don't like the label, but suck it up.

Oops! Ok, read it wrong, apologies. However, what are the margins in the other age groups? After all, the gap has narrowed considerably, and had it not been for the enourmous amount of money poured into supporting prop 8 by the Mormons, it's unlikely it would have succeeded.

However, what are the margins in the other age groups?

Respondents ages 30-44 were 28% of the electorate and voted 55-45 in favor of.

Respondents ages 45-64 were 36% of the electorate and voted 54-46 in favor of.

Respondents 65 and older were 15% of the electorate and voted 61-39 in favor of.

See the link (provided in a previous post) for more details.

And keep in mind, Kali is considerably to the left of this nation.
