I vote gang member. I have only had one gay relative that I know of. All the atheists in my family are in the closet  , but if they came out it wouldn't be any drama. In a nutshell, you can be gay and/or an atheist and live, but as a gang member, I'd be afraid your days would be numbered.

I voted for gang member, generally speaking.

If you're referring to my husband, I would change my vote to "I am gay" as my choice. :P

Which loved one?

Atheist wouldn't bother me from any loved one.

Gang member would bother me from all loved ones.

Gay would bother me if it was my wife haha. If I had kids, it would be weird, but I wouldn't call it a shock. Chances are I'd 'suspect' they were before they told me anyway so there really wouldn't be much shock value.

Interestingly, though, a recent study found that atheists are the group that the most people said was "untrustworthy" (as in, the question was "Do you think the following groups are untrustworthy?" and more people said "Yes" to atheists than any other group). Wish I could find the study. I don't remember if gang members were included, but surely they're less trustworthy than atheists? Then again, maybe it's just because I know a lot of atheists. Including the minister of my church.

I'm sorry... about the only thing that would devastate me to hear from my husband is 'I have a terminal illness' and that's not on the list... 'I murdered somebody in cold blood' would probably do it too.

But since I had to choose one of the three I chose 'I am a gang member' because that tends to involve drugs and violence and sudden nasty deaths or lengthy terms in prison and the other two options are merely personal life choices that don't affect your ability to have a long and healthy life.
