Old Debt & NBI clearence

Hey Folks,

My wife seems to have an old debt of an unpaid loan from when she worked in Hong Kong that she was just contacted about. This loan was issued thru a finance company in the PI to her in HK. It seems they have offices in many places where OFWs are prevalent. She has a current NBI clearence(one month old) she got in prep for her interview. The current clearence is good/clear. Anyway, can this debt affect her NBI clearence? Will this current NBI be good for interview within the next 4 months?

NBI clearance is good for 1yr upon issuance so if ever your wife's interview is still 4mos away,it'll still be good.With regards to her old debt,you said she just had her current nbi clearance with a good record so i bet it didnt have any affect at all.

That is what I was thinking, pero I just need a little reassurance to convey to my wife.

for as long as they didnt report her to the NBI/police then the record wont show that she's got debts etc... coz a friend of ours was surprised when she applied for an nbi clearance it shows that she has a record. to find out, her friend 10 yrs ago report her that she has P1000 unpaid debts... now she's got a problem looking for her old friend just to clear her name... though nbi clearance is good for one year, its always advisable to have a recent one that is close to the interview date... my thoughts... yep for sure its gona be ok... its normal to get nervous. heck, im the most paranoid person in the world when we were still doing the K1 process. but it pays of... we're going snowboarding this thanks giving day lol... not yet a good powder day but it'll do for a warm up... HAPPY THANKS GIVING EVERYONE!
