If any of you have ventured into the ME/NA forum, you may have seen a pinned thread at the top for "sultan's kitchen". That thread has been around for 2 or 3 years now and has a TONNN of recipes in it. We frequently see ppl asking about traditional dishes native to ME/NA and I got the bright idea to turn it into a bonafide cookbook. It has become a wonderful collection of recipes and is over 215 pages!!!

I'm nearing the final stages of creation now and am offering them to all VJ members if anyone is interested. The cost will be 27 dollars per book and that covers shipping and printing. I am setting up Paypal to accept payments and will give that information to those who are interested.

They will be a pay-in-advance thing as the cost to print and ship is quite high and I don't have that kind of money just laying around lol!

If you are interested, please feel free to pm me with any questions you may have and I'll be letting you all know when it is being sent for printing.

I plan to give them as christmas gifts to my family, friends, and co-workers but I have to move fast to get them completed in time. There is no limit on the amount of books you order but keep in mind that they are pre-paid orders.

I forgot to add that Captain Ewok has approved the sales of these books so long as there is no personal gain from it. The cost is only to cover the printing and shipping so there are no TOS violations.

Hey Amal,

Great idea to consolidate all that good stuff in one big book. I have no doubt that other culturally inspired cookbooks will appear on VJ now. Good job on being the first to do what others have only been pondering. I hope you tossed in a "Big Shout Out " to all your VJ homies(how much more ghetto can i word it?) hahaha. Anyway, I'm in. Thanks Tam , It did take a LOT of hours of work to get it put together.. I am really hoping that I can get enough orders to have made it worth all the time it took.

No it is not a violation of TOS. I got the approval from Ewok to do it and also got the approval from all of the recipe submitters to add their recipes to the books. He told me that I can't make any personal gain from them so I'm only charging what it costs to make, print, and ship them.
