I never really looked for my partner there. I talk to people like I normally do, and was friends with her, and decided to be in a relationship. Indeed it is expensive, but when your SO is in your arms it's certainly all worth it.

I don't know if most Americans go in search of a foreigner for a relationship, although I am sure there are some.

Personally, I did not..it just so happen that the woman I was meant to be with is Filipino....and an amazing woman at that.

08-27-08 - NVC assigns case number(verified via telephone call)

09-05-08 - Received DS-3032 and AOS bill(checked by phone and noted on travel web site)

09-05-08 - Paid AOS bill online --- pending (paid on-line $70)

09-06-08 - Emailed DS-3032 --- auto response (email that NVC recieved an email from Grace, nothing more)

09-09-08 - AOS bill --- PAID!! (noted on travel web site as "PAID")

09-11-09 - Grace recieved DS-3032s, still no response to the email...(wife got a birthday package from her hubby :) )

09-12-09 - Mailed DS-3032 via FedEx. Also mailed out AOS(paper mailed just to be certain they get one)

09-15-09 - NVC accepts DS-3032..FINALLY!!!(verified via email response and telephone call)

09-15-09 - IV Bill paid online - in process($400 X 2)

09-16-08 - AOS revieced by NVC and being reviewed.(verified via telephone call)

09-17-08 - Immigrant VISA Bill fee "PAID" (verified on-line)

09-24-08 - AOS approved(verified via telephone call)

10-06-08 - DS230 recieved by NVC

10-10-08 - CASE COMPLETED AT NVC

10-29-08 - Appointment Schedule for 12-9-2008(verified by telephone call to NVC)

11-03-08 - Recieved Appointment letter via snail mail

11-25-08 - Medical Exam at St. Lukes Medical Center

12-09-08 - Interview at 630am.......VISAs APPROVED!!

My husband nor I were looking for a relationship with anyone at the time we met, let alone actively looking for someone that lived outside of our respective countries. It just happened.

CAnt find anyone but finding someone on a different place which is called.... LONG DISTANCE EXPENSIVE RELATIONSHIP.....

I didn't try to find someone to be my partner across the ocean. I must say, what happen to us is what usually called FATE. If my SO happens to be originating from where I am, then it would be great. But it happens, isn't so I need to face all this hardship to be with him and stand with my commitment with him. It's definitely expensive.

Yeah, I agree on the fate part. No one in their right mind actually goes looking for someone to spend all this money on, all this stupid paperwork, all the lost time being apart, all the headaches, all the tears..........

All the pain, the money, the time, the sacrifice.....is well worth it. I finally found that one person that God reserved just for me. That other half of my heart that was missing my entire life. I also found the child that I had been longing for my entire life also.

At the beginning of our relationship I fought the feeling. The distance was just too great for me. Seemed impossible to negotiate, but once I exposed myself from behind that wall...I knew that I was going to be with this woman fovever. And at whatever obstacle that we needed to negotiate. It did not/does not matter. I will be with them both.

So, I proceed...guided by love only. And it has become the best decision I have ever made. I would not change one single thing. I am happy with my Gracey....I am happy to be a father, finally. And I long for my family.

I am rambling, I do apologize. I just love them both so much.

interview: SEOUL

MArch 21st , 2005AR for special security clearance,washington

May 18th tranfer case from Seoul to Islammabad

June 21st security clearance done

June 28th online at the embassy in Islamabad

waiting for paper transfer and the good word

OCTOBER 14TH 2005 Interview Number 2: ISLAMABAD, PK

AR number 2 sent to DOS per Islamabad (2 cable request)

Nov 22 okd updated financial and etc proof accepted / embassy waiting for security cables

dec 20th one cable back waiting on 2nd

Jan 17th.. good word recieved. SECURITY CHECKS ALL CLEAR!!! DOS says embassy to contact him within two weeks!!!!!!

FEBRUARY 10th, 2006 VISA RECIEVED!!! They called him In via phone, stamped his passort and sent him on his way!!!

FEB 28th WELCOME HOME>>>POE CHICAGO did not even look at xray, few questions. one hour wait at Poe

march 10th marriage (nikkah at the islamic center)

aug 2006 AOS interview, cond 2 yr GC arrived september

June 2008 applied for removal of conditions on permant residency aka awaiting for 10 yr greencard

Dec 2008 10yr green card approved, no interview.
