nope, not kidding.

parsi dish, makes sense that i've never heard of it.

;)

i'm not sure if you're aware of the love of indian food in the uk but it is hugely popular. i use the term indian loosely as most of the "indian" takeaways/restaurants are run by bangladeshis, hehe. we have the same deal as americans do with mexican food, dishes are adapted to our palates and we also make dishes up and pretend they're authentic. the most famous one is "chicken tikka masala", ever heard of it?

can you get it over there? i'm not a fan of it myself but it's better than nothing. ;)

there's definitely no sign of indian food in the south, i tried to find spices on several occasions but i had no luck. :crying:

Well I live in New Jersey so yeah, there is Indian food all over the place. Even our regular grocery stores have Indian spices and cooking sauces.

But I will tell you, if the feedback from other Brits is any indication, I'm not quite sure what it is they feed you on the other side of the pond because they don't seem to like what gets served in the US ;) Even though the Indian food I have here is pretty much exactly like it is back in India. So you may not like it.

But if you're interested, you can order Patak's cooking sauces on Amazon....

I don't do curry so I'm the wrong person to ask. I make my husband go outside and cook curry when he's drunk so he doesn't stink up the house.
