I work hard, struggled through college and then 2 years extra ( mathematics), I reap what I work for, and funnily enough I like what I am paid to do-and I like the $$$ that goes with it and I don't do it at the expense of more important stuff.

I still like money.

I ike the way you think! You reap what you sow. Not everyone is a downer when discussing money. Whoo hoo!:dance:

What do you do?

Not at all. There are some people on message boards who have personalities - at least online ones - that are so offensive that many, many people dislike them. Then there are people who are offensive to some; some people like them, some people don't. I lump myself in with the latter group. VW fits the first. I'm sure where to put you. I think you're closer to the "some dislike" than the "most", oddly enough. Queen Narnia is solidly in the "most" group.

It's completely and utterly stupid to say that it's stupid to dislike someone on a message board. Just because you can't see the person doesn't make what they say any less offensive, ridiculous, inflammatory, or f##ktarded. The only "losers" here are the ones who think that people don't form opinions of people based on how they present themselves via the words they type. I know this computer thing might be scary and confusing to some of you, but these really ARE people typing these words, and their personalities really DO come across. To say that it's stupid and "loser-like" to dislike someone on a message board is to also say that to LIKE someone on a message board/chat room/game site is stupid and loser-like. I'd have to say that the 75% (or whatever) of people here on VJ who met their SOs online might have an issue with that.

You are the one who thinks he is all high and mighty. The 'big man' on campus. Which is quite funny considering reality. Know what I am saying pal. ;)

Those known as "the group" (group of wankers that is) have cornered off others with differing views for years now yet have the audacity to turn around and claim we are arrogant when we push back. You, for example, have 4154 posts under your belt of utter rubbish. Posts that I couldn't sell even if grouped them together and marked up the price by 1000% to 1 cents; yet have the nerve to say I am the fool and post #######.

Anyway, I leave you to your exciting life of moderating expats.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

If I had the money, I'd open a bike shop here in my town. I wouldn't get rich, but if I were diverse enough in what I sold, I could probably get by. But I don't have the money to start up. Nor do I have access to enough money to start up. As I said before, it takes money to make money.

I suppose I could invest $50/month in something or other, and in 30 years I'd have enough to start that bike shop. At age 70.

Or you could apply for a small business loan, like everybody else.

This is true. The only difference between me and my peers who have gone down that route is drive and desire. Even those who end up having their businesses crash and burn are better off for the experience by virtue of what they've learned through the experience.

Or you could apply for a small business loan, like everybody else.

It is. A friend of mine is going to open an Indian fast food joint in an under-served market next spring and he just got a loan for it.
