No, philosophical. These are the things that go through my head all the time. It's a very scary place; the inside of my cranium. lol

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

He has a point though, the quest for money, for the sake of having 'more' of it, without any thought for the type of life one is leading is pretty pointless - and will not lead to any degree of inner happiness.

True...you can't buy true happiness, but you can rent something that is pretty darned close to it with enough greenbacks. ;)

There is a huge difference between being poor - not recommended on any level and doing ok but there is a vast gulf between doing ok and chasing greenbacks for the sake of it.

this reminds me of this one family I saw on Wife Swap.. the dad said they had to sacrifice things to get the things they wanted, like a $8000 entertainment unit... and the things they sacrificed was time with the family... I think that is really screwed up... you could tell that family wasn't close at all.. they were all just strangers living in the same house...

I work hard, struggled through college and then 2 years extra ( mathematics), I reap what I work for, and funnily enough I like what I am paid to do-and I like the $$$ that goes with it and I don't do it at the expense of more important stuff.

I still like money.
