hi guys!

just a quick question. iposted this in the november filers but figured i may get the answer here.

i never filed for AP as i have no clue when i would be going back for a visit and the form seemed pretty specific when asking for travel dates.

although i do want to go and visit family next year with my son, i'm not sure when as most of my family have already been over here for a visit since i left.

my question is should i have just applied anyway at the same time as the aos? if i do make arrangements will i have to pay for the ap now i've already submitted my aos application?

any help as always greatly appreciated:thumbs:

I put "undetermined" in the section that asked for dates and had no problems getting the AP. If you dont file for AP with the AOS it is unfortunately a separate fee.

I think it would be cheaper for you to file with the AOS process. You can specify a date when you will be traveling but plans always change so you can use it when ever while your waiting for your Green Card when your AP is approved.

Its all for LOVE..

I think you will be fine if you want to file for advance parole document. Regarding the I-131 fee, it is included in your AOS fees. Just include the receipt of your AOS when you're filing your I-131. You'll be Ok. Anybody can further verify this?

"Have faith in God, Jesus answered. I'll tell you the truth. if anyone says to this mountain, Go, throw yourself to the sea, and that does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen. it will be done for him. Therefore I'll tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (MARK 11:22-24)

Yes you should do it during AOS process. ShaSha and I did it then and we added travel dates but didnt need to. ShaSha received 2 different AP to use until she gets her GC and they didnt have travel dates on them so she can use them anytime.

you should do it with your AOS...additionally, you don;t have to include specific dates...My wife got her AP and it was valid for a period of time...if the time lapses and you don;t use it you can get another one....

AOS -K2 Based for 8 year old daughter...wife already has green card in hand and daughter was brought over via join to follow - K1.

11/04/08 - I485 sent

11/10/08 - NOA rcd

11/26/08 - Biometrics

Thanks for all your replies

Really appreciate it.

So I now have my NOA1 and I'm about to file for AP using a copy of this. Hopefully I won't have to pay another fee.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Many thanks again.
