Thanks for the info. I'll have my family in St. Louis give this a try to see what can be obtained with a power of attorney. I'd like to at least try to avoid the $$ charge to have it done at the US Consulate in HCMC. Already have to pay $30.00 just to have my I-134 notarized there.

First I called Oregon Vital Records And to see if they even do such a search, And they did. I went to there office and Had it done the same day. I do not know if you are able to do it over the internet.
