Luckily we're both off Thursday and Friday, one of the many benefits of working for the government. Although I have to admit I don't quite understand the whole point of "Thanksgiving"? Exactly what are the Americans giving thanks for?.. Maybe you have to be an American but it does not register at all even slightly as a "Holiday".. Then again Easter and Halloween don't register as proper holidays to the Americans it would seem?.. meaning everyone still works those days.

I shouldn't complain it's two extra days off work! :P

Thanksgiving, customarily, is supposed to be a celebration of the harvest...Although most of us harvest from the grocery store...

Either way, I am personally giving thanks to a free day off with good food!!

Friday will cost a day of vacation. No problem there.

Just another normal day for me of course. Tom will be working, he doesn't get any American holidays at the moment, even Christmas Day.

If I work on holidays, I get a $500 bonus/holiday. It's optional. Considering what I could do with $500 on black friday, I'd best be working on Thanksgiving.

+1

It's just additional two days off - Friday is extra day for us - not taken from the vacation. That & a bunch of good food followed by heartburn afterwards!!
