I-130 Filed in January still no word any advice?

Hi Everyone, here is my timeline and to be honest its very frustrating. I am wondering if anyone else is in the same boat and if there is anything to do. I am a US Citizen and my wife is in Iran (maybe thats why its taking so long!)

USCIS

2008-01-03: Marriage

2008-01-27: I-130 Sent

2008-02-19: I-130 NOA1

2008-06-01: I-129F Sent

2008-06-23: I-129F NOA1

Have heard nothing else :angry:

Since you are a month outside of the processing time for your I-130, maybe you can issue a service request with the USCIS through their customer service line?

You can also contact your representative in Congress if you haven't done so already to see if they can provide assistance.

My friend you want to get on the phone at star asking questions on why the haven't done anything woth your I-130 yet! call 1-800-375-5283 USCIS and don't give up!! make some moves quick!!!!!!

You're at VSC that's probably why, they have been working on 26 Feb 08 for over a month, yeah I would be on the phone calling people. There is a 1800 number you can call if you're past the processing time which you have been since Oct 2008. Good luck to you and your wife.

since u mailed your I-129f in June it could move your application date from Jan to Jun. So that means you are not outside of processing time. This is not necessary true, but I wanted to file I-129f around same time as you, but was told that this will happen.

I filed in Feb 08, and still not approved. case is at background checks at the moment.

Timeline:

07/05/2006. Married in Anniston, AL, USA

I-130

02/06/2008. Mailed I-130 to Chicago Lockbox

02/08/2008. I-130 delivered to Chicago Lockbox. Signed by V BUSTAMANTE

02/20/2008. I-130 NOA1 date. Vermont Service Center

08/26/2008. Touched. (I-130 transferred to California Service Center)

08/27/2008. Touched.

08/28/2008. Touched. (This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred)

08/29/2008. Touched.

09/26/2008. Touched.

09/27/2008. Touched.

10/16/2008. Touched.

10/17/2008. Touched.

11/12/2008. Touched.(Senator inquired on case status. Case with FBI. Was told not to inquire again for 90 days)
