OK - I called this morning out of curiosity and was able to schedule for Jan 12. Consular is apparently closed the entire week before, according to the guy scheduling interviews. They opened up the entire month after the 12 though. Looks like I will have to adjust my travel plans, as I was coming back the 16th.

Oh wow! That's a change! I just tried calling myself (after reading your post), but it sounds like the Ukrainian line is broken or smth. It doesn't even take me to the machine message. Just keeps beeeping, and then says no answer

When is Vika having her medical? I passed mine last Thursday. They said it's ok that it won't be brand new, and I had some spare time, and my friend had to do it, so we went together. So if u have any questions about that, do not hesitate to ask!

When is Vika having her medical? I passed mine last Thursday. They said it's ok that it won't be brand new, and I had some spare time, and my friend had to do it, so we went together. So if u have any questions about that, do not hesitate to ask!

She is scheduled for December 15th. I think she is pretty comfortable with the medical stuff, but she also wants to pay the application fee that day. She isn't sure there will be time after the medical exam to get to the bank. What do you think?

she certainly will have time from when the medical is completed and until the exam results are ready for pick up... so it sounds like it is a good idea to get that out of the way...

Not neccessarily. For instance, I got stuck in several lines at the hospital, cuz apparently they let the adopting couples go in without waiting. I was done at almost 2pm. And the results pick up is at 3. So that depends on how lucky she is, and how busy they are that specific day.

Yup, my wife was done at 11am and results were not ready until 4pm... Train back to Kherson is at about 9pm if I remember (unless it has recently changed)
