USCIS Vermont Service Center

Dear Mr. Novak:

I am writing to you regarding my I-130 Petition, receipt number ________. I filed the I-130 petition for my husband to join me in the U.S. I filed my petition in December of 2007. Vermont received it December 30, 2007 I got the first Notice of Action on February 21,2008. Since I received that first Notice of Action I have not heard any update on my case since then.

I have called USCIS and I get the same answers that the I-797C tells me. I have schedule info passes and checked the website. I don't where I can go to have this matter resolved, so I turn to you. Sir It has been 9 months since my case has been touched and it has been almost 1 year since Vermont Service Center has had my case. I understand that at the Vermont Service Center our cases are numbers, however this is my life and part of my heart, my family is in another country.

I would really appreciate it if you would find out what has happened to my petition and why it has taken so long for my case to be completed. I also filed a I-129f receipt number ____________ I would like to know how that is coming along also.

I look forward to getting a answer from you very soon regarding my petition. My number is ___________, you can also reach me at_____________.

Sincerely,

P.S I also was looking at My I-130 Petition and I saw that my husband's birth date was not on it. His birth date is___________. I also changed y phone number since then, the new number is____________, and _____________.

Mrs.W, I would go screaming to your senator and congressman's office - keep calling until you get him / her on the phone, or their immigration assistant.

As for your letter, I would definitely remove the PS - why call attention to something missing if they haven't caught it.

I have not gotten a response from my congressman. Thank you very much for the comments on our wedding pictures.

That would piss me off to no end! Where are you located?

You have 2 senators and 1 congressman for your district. You might want to write all of them and see who responds. If they don't respond, I would suggest calling and following up. You might also want to write the committee that oversees USCIS. MMendez has posted letters to this committee...seems to get a good response. Good Luck!

I know....that sucks. My Congressman office moved quick. Our AOS took forever and USCIS never responded to us. The Congressman's office didn't speed up the process because we were stuck in FBI checks at least we knew why we were waiting.

Good luck to you.

Morning Mrs. Walker - have you contacted your Congressman's office?

Love your wedding pictures BTW.

I have not gotten a response from my congressman. Thank you very much for the comments on our wedding pictures.

call his office everyday.

I was at Vermont from October 2007 to August 2008.

Call his office EVERYDAY. Morning and Afternoon if you have to until they agree to do something. Go by there if you have to. He will most likely be your only help. It is his job to find this out.

He may not do anythign about it other than say "you have to wait"

but if he is not even doing an inquiry call him till he responds.

My congressman offered no help other than to do an inquiry. I wish I had something to give you hope..but I was just lucky enough to be transferred to CSC. If I were you I would almost reapply attaching the NOA1.

I LOVE MY HUSBAND!!!!!!!!!!!
