Yeah pretty much when you hit downtown Union with all those stores along the strip - you hit terrible traffic. Usually its OK in the mornings or late at night - but best avoided at rush hour or dinner time.

People drive very poorly on that road too - lots of sudden lane changes, undertaking etc.

Well its interesting to look at the contributing factors - we had the Depression and the Dust Bowl (which were more or less linked), the consequences of which filtered out into the world economies. Germany was already suffering because of the massive reparations they were required to make under the Treaty of Versailles. Coupled with a world-wide financial meltdown - it essentially crippled Germany.

Yeah drivers are really aggressive down there - noone lets anyone over. I still don't understand why even on residential streets there's no courteousy. At home in the UK - on those narrow streets people would pull in if there wasn't enough room to get by. Here - they keep going, even if it means squeezing past by mere inches.

HAL 9000 is relieved. Discovery 3 (4 wheeled transport) will not be involved in navigating on Route 22 but will come close on 287 itself on its way to South Amboy. The sub-light course in that area will be to go from I-80 to US-206 to I-287 to Route 440 to US-9 to Route 35.

AJ should be fine and if he feels threatened by any comments he can always reply with a simple "y tu madre también." Although I would not recommend doing so if the originator of the comment looks like he/she has a weapon on board.
