We all have things that make us mad during this process. I used to get mad when K1's would get approval before K3's. I felt than that married people should be done quicker.

I love my K1 friends so don't get your panties in a bunch. :luv:

 yeah what jackie said.

Well I can understand where you are comming from though, Cristy. The same thought has gone through my mind too. I have to remind myself though that while it might sound flighty, immature, or irresponsible, there may be much more to the story. Who knows if the relationships started out with the upmost sincere intentions. I'm not saying there aren't people that do abuse the K-1 visa, but things do happen even with the best hopes and intentions. Just my thoughts though.

jamie lovely pic..

Doesn't bother me at all... as long as they aren't buying imported brides... to each his own.

ooohhhh... do those get shipped in bubble-wrap by UPS? or just crate lifted in belly of plane?

I'm not sure but I seem to recall a thread about returning a defective fiance not too long ago

No, it doesn't bother me because you never know the full story. You can't just assume.

It sort of makes you seem self-rightous like your marriage is more special and more important to anyone elses if you think marriage should only happen in the way yours did, know what I mean?

What about people from India? Arranged marriage is somewhat the norm there. Its tradition and many people are happy with it. Should we ban them from entering the US because their meeting wasn't "a magical fairy tale" like yours?

K1 Visa Process long ago and far away...

Removing Conditions

03/02/09 - Mailed I-751 package (CSC)

03/06/09 - Check cashed

03/10/09 - Recieved Olga's NOA1

well now looks like you are the one who is assuming. your attitude was harsh and uncalled for.

My response in RED

I am not sure if it is just me but it really $%^#&* me off when I see people post things like ....this one did not work so I am going to apply for a new one. Where did someone say that?...Sounds like a popcorn thread to me :D I did not deliberately go out of my way to find someone in another country to marry, I know Casey did not either.Oh this process is a pain in the neck-I think most people did not go out of their way to find someone from out of this country to marry

I just sort of belittles this whole thing when I see people using it as a dating service.....find someone in another country and bring them over, if it does not work send them home and find a new one. Where did you get your information? Please post the links to these threads! I have popcorn

It does not seem like the same thing as those of us who happened to find someone we fell in love with and want to be with more than anything.

I know you did not mean to sound this way-but this came across to me like you are saying your relationship and petition is one of the only valid ones....

Of course there is some fraud, hidden agendas and abuse of the system; this also happens in same nationality marriages; but I feel quite strongly that most petitioners/beneficiaries are as much in love as you and your fiance....

Or maybe I am missing the point of your post....

Either way to answer your question-I don't give a flying frogs fat azz what anyone else does. Like gimy ( I think ) said-it's their life, their money and their business. If they want to spend their money on plane tickets and petitions....So what? My petition is completely genuine--Why would it bother me what others are doing? Why does it bother you so much?

IK HOU VAN JOU, MARK

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

I do not understand this because her opinion is stated and clear for anyone to see, I am assuming nothing. Cristy is, I am sure is a nice person in real life, but we have a different opinion on this. I hope she puts some thought into what I am saying and doesn't take it as an insult, as you did.

 Dunno about you but its been a LONG time since I last participated in the laundry! So if you can't get the laundry done, might as well think about it 24/7!
