Question about Children???

Ok so I am looking at the N400 and it mentioned a question about children. I don't have any children of my own but my husband has 2 beautiful daughters who are over 18. Would I consider them on the form to be step children? I know it may sound stupid but I am not sure since they are not mine.

Better safe than sorry I say. This way atleast you have everything otu there and they can choose to see it , or completely disregard it.

If you read the instructions on how to fill out the N400, you will see that it says:

Part 9. Information About Your Children.

A. Write the total number of sons and daughters you have had. Count all of your children, regardless of whether they are:

1. Alive, missing, or dead;

2. Born in other countries or in the United States;

3. Under 18 years old or adults;

4. Married or unmarried;

5. Living with you or elsewhere;

6. Stepsons or stepdaughters or legally adopted; or

7. Born when you were not married.

And yes, your husband's children are your stepchildren regardless of their age.

That is what I thought, I wonder why they ask about step children?....I can understand if you had children with your American spouse. His children don't live with us. Oh Well I will put it on the form.
